Pale fingers intertwined with the other’s, soft smile on the blonde’s lips paired with drunk, hooded brown eyes. A light laugh her as she pulled the other along with her towards the kitchen. “ Come ooooon! ” She called over the music, despite already pulling the other with her. Quick to busy herself with getting a plastic cup to scoop some more... whatever the fuck it was in the bowl at this point. She didn’t really care. “ Just one more- ...one more drink and we can go hide! ”

“ Just the two of us! No stupid boys to be fuckin’ dumb and annoying and- and gross! Like... Like, who do they think they are really? Plain, boring lookin’ boys trying to hook up with total hotties? Huh? It doesn’t make any sense! ”

Marigold stopped talking almost too quickly at the request, nodding her head and placing her hands in her lap. She had a knack for rambling. Talking about absolutely anything to anyone and sometimes forget to filter it or find a better time. And, well, she should know by now which people can deal with it and which can’t but she just forgets. Forgets and keeps talking and talking and talking. She sent the other an apologetic smile. “ Sorry, Carol. ”

Marigold did just that, closed her eyes and leaned against the other without a word. It was rare for Marigold to blow up in an aggressive way, usual anger switched to her being upset and she’d end up sobbing when she eventually cracked. But, for once she actually lost her shit. In the middle of some party too, all glares and cussing and in some guys face for, as she tried to convince herself, absolutely no reason. Really, she had a right to defend herself, she told the guy twice that she wasn’t interested and he just asked again and again, and well she ended up screaming at him. Which, felt good at the time. And, now she just felt bad.

“ Thank you. ” She whispered, turning her head to meet him with a small. “ And, sorry for causing a scene, Steve. ”

A giggle escaped the blonde, eyes concentrated on the other. Blush grew on her face, decorating her cheeks and forehead, even stretching towards her ears as she let the words of the other settle in her mind. She lifted the now entirely melted slurpee to her lips, taking a sip from the straw before clearing her throat and sitting herself up more from behind the little desk at the pool entrance. “ I like seeing you smile too, Heather. A lot. ”

“ You’re really cute. Like, magazine girl kinda cute! ...I mean, like, model magazine girls, you know? Not the dirty magazines, even though I’m one-hundred percent sure you could pull that off too! You could pull anything off really.... Super pretty... ”

Wide eyes stared at the other, the usual confusion behind them as she waited for the other to say more. To add more to the quick little statement. Lips set, as pursed as they could get without obstructing her buck teeth.

“ Does it not look good? ” She eventually asked, head tilting to the side almost puppy-like.Let her hands drop to fix her outfit, twiddle it’s position a few times. Thinking on it, trying to figure out what may be wrong - maybe the colour or it was too much, maybe too little. She really had no idea. Eyebrows furrowing upwards, mouth opening just a little. “ I have other options, like a few. You know, this is a first time kinda thing. Is there like a certain thing I should be wearing or something... ”
