I really thought maybe I was the only one who didn't do so well. I was very disappointed in myself because I was already having a bad day and just did not feel confident taking the test at all. But thank God points were given back and we are still standing and persevering !

I had a similar experience with one of the nurses I worked with this semester in the peds rotation as well. Its a such a shame. But just like you said, Thank you to the nurses that are willing and also eager to help student nurses learn. I am now so grateful to my nurse when I am assigned with one that is kind enough to do that for me. Those nurses really make a difference for their patients and us. 

I’ve debated for years about going back to nursing school as a single mom of 2. Most nursing programs are full time day programs which did not fit into my schedule. After praying about my decision for a long time I heard about Widener’s evening accelerated program. I felt like God had answered my prayers. I finally felt confident in my decision. I believe everything happens for a reason. Over the course of a few months so many things worked out in my favor, that put many of my concerns to rest. The journey has not been easy, but I am glad to say I am now in my second semester of nursing school.

I can definitely relate with the comment you made about you felt like God answered your prayers and everything happens fora reason. I feel the same way. And that is why I’m at Widener, because I had been applying to so many programs day programs and evening programs and got rejected. When I received the acceptance to Widener I felt like this was the opportunity God had set aside for me and it came after a few life lessons that I was supposed to learn before I could embark on this journey as a student nurse. So glad He brought us here together.
