also people act like drag queens are incapable of changing how they act for kids. like do you really think things like storytime with drag queens has like, sex jokes and dildos? do you think drag artists are unable to treat children appropriately while in drag? like drag doesn't always need to be safe for kids obviously but just because a drag artist does a sexual show for adults doesn't mean that artist can't also be kid-friendly during times they are around kids. drag artists are not some scary boogeyman that's gonna traumatize your children by their sheer Aura of Queerness

i don't think ive EVER seen a "positivity post" for transmasc people who lose their hair. or get male pattern baldness. like, that's a thing. that's very much a thing. and i. i really wish we'd stop making fun of that type of hair loss because while i love every other part of my transition. i feel a unique fear about hair loss because it's the butt of so many jokes.

hey yknow? fuck it, this isn't just for transmasc people? i'm sorry also to transfem and cisfem people who have to deal with shit because they've got "male pattern baldness" or thinning hair too. it sucks how a thing that naturally happens to so many people from androgens is like. considered icky and mocked and gendered in such a virulent way to where it's terrifying and horrble for self esteem. it's one thing to be like "aw man, i'd like to keep my hair around" and another thing to like. "oh god oh fuck if i start losing my hair like this i'm going to have the Gross Hair Loss pattern. it's like. low hanging fruit for mocking people we don't like and i'm sure i've been guilty of that! i just constantly wonder when will we learn that mocking physical traits instead of harmful behaviors impacts those around us who have or could develop those traits

Yeah this is super important, so many intersex people I have met are terrified of this happening, because not only is it often ridiculed, but for some of us it can affect our ability to pass as dyadic and threaten our safety if we are not seen as a “correct” gender/body type. No more insensitive comments about people’s bodies, because what you see as small can actually be huge for someone, and we don’t need to be reminded that our bodies are a laughing stock to most of the world anyways.
