I’ve said it before but I prefer ‘homemaker’ over stay at home mom/stay at home dad because 1.) it’s gender neutral 2.) it does not revolve around your relationship to another person 3.) it communicates that you have complex responsibilities and goals outside of “just taking care of your kid” 4.) you do not have to have children to be a homemaker, you just have to make a dwelling a home

“body shaming” and its recognizing nearly every celebrity in american media is either succumbing to extreme eating disorders that clearly r making them sickly or pushing things like ozempic bc ppl r obsessed with skinniness to the point of being ok with dying bc of it ….i for one think its more shameful that this has become so normal that ppl think ur weird for saying this isnt how the world should be 😭

i actually think it's scary that we seem to be forgetting what regular human beings look like and that in some cases it's being deliberately accelerated by incels and their esoteric mythology of appearance now that they have the cultural microphone. it's scary that i can watch a movie from like 1991 and be like "oh if this woman was cast as a leading lady today it'd be a culture war outrage session about ugly women being shoved in our faces"

so annoying like as someone who literally works with ppl who are permanently impacted by severe eating disorders on both sides of the spectrum u ppl have no idea what ur talking about like all of this is due to skinniness being seen as the only good state of being like. its the skinny obsession, it was always the skinny obsession

I also think it’s cruel to have a bunch of people 70+ in our government. Sitting at the helm of American imperialism and making important decisions on how to ruin as many lives as possible is soooo stressful for aging bodies. They keep dying in office after so much corporate money and effort is spent to get them elected.
