first of all, how could anyone say this? he (co-) wrote 37 out of 83 original one direction songs, which is almost HALF of all their songs, excluding covers, while also managing one direction and taking care of the band and their future. and if you are a directioner, you know that these songs have heartfelt lyrics and sound extremely good. alternatively, if you are a solo louie you know that his debut album contains songs that tell a story, with lyrics like “it’s a church of burnt romances/ and i’m far too gone to pray”. this right here!!! is poetry!!! pure art!!! he constantly uses symbolism in his music videos as well and indirectly tells stories he’s not allowed to.

second of all, the shit this amazing human being has been put through should make anyone have a least the tiniest bit of respect for him. from being given very few solos in the 1D days, something which decreased his self-confidence over the years instead of building it, to having to conceal his true bubbly, flamboyant self to fit the narrative that the management was forcing on all of them. he was being portrayed as this irresponsible, rude, reckless member of the band which didn’t go well with the fact that he is the oldest member of the band. i’ll always despise syco for making him feel like he’s not good enough, closeting, constantly overworking and using his name to promote TXF while doing essentially nothing to make his debut album known by the world (even postponing Walls’ initial release date) and making him play the role of someone who he didn’t want to be. the boy literally has fairy lights all over his house and smells like baby powder, how could he be as careless and rude as they try to make him be? not to mention the fact that they made him perform at TXF right after his mom passed away!
