At the very least, he can tell his friend he made a effort that he went inside the school, Its not his forte, but being a detective. Its to be certain he can make accurate assumptions, and having the chairman son would help. 

     “ah, yes! ouran is home to all levels of youth education;       from primary school through to high school. with the       demands needed of our students, it has become quite large!”

he speaks from the perspective of the chairman’s son moreso than a well-rounded individual, finding the excess perfectly normal for an educational institution.

     “but I can absolutely help your friend. are they looking for       information about enrollment, or our scholarship programs?”

 “Enrollment. They can afford this place.” scholarships were almost like a insult to some rich people but he’s not here to make enemies of that person. In any case the buildings here were far bigger then they have any right to be. 

Already savoring the meal, he gives a silent nod. He’ll have to slip some money into his wallet later. No use fighting it. He knew this place better. With his new task given, Garu intently scans the restaurant. There were a handful of empty tables but none of them had what he thought to be a good enough spot. After a few long minutes of scouting the place, he spots the perfect table at the back of the restaurant. Garu goes into a full sprint towards the table and leaps upward to backflip perfectly onto one of the empty seats.  

Despite the theatrics, he still waved to make sure he knew where he was. 

 “now now, no need to rush.” sedately, slowly pushing himself to the corner of the restaurant. he suppose it would look weird if he of all peopel had a interest in a child, a child out fo the district of all people. It wouldn’t be the first time he invested in someone. but to this extent...it would look weird. 

     “I see… I have no doubts that it must be       extremely strenuous! I’m thankful to be       on the side of the law and free from       criminal interference.”

a hand is placed gingerly against his own chest, face seeming too posh for his sentiments.

     “oh– but you came here because you needed       something! how can I help you, mr. spade?”

Training as hard as he did, always worked up a hell of an appetite. He’s shaking as he takes it all in. Burgers, chicken, cookies! Wow! It all seemed even more delicious when he knew they were jumbo-sized. A sparkle shines in his eyes as he sees exactly what he wanted. The super-spicy curry with extra potatoes. That’s what he wanted. Garu practically flung himself over the counter, pointing so excitedly. If it was half of what he said it was, he’d be more than satisfied. 

Hi grin widens as he pulls out his own stack of cash. Offering to pay for both with little regard as to what the price would be. All he wanted was FOOD.

The food in his own district was indeed jumbo size, everything from the fries to the burger were the size of a grown man head. At least the grown men of smaller districts who weren’t as blessed with bountiful harvest like his is. 

 “He’ll have that one.” he brings out his own jumbo size wallet, fitting for someone of his stature, after all what person would make their own guest pay for this size?

 “I’ll do it, I’m the grown up here.” 

One jumbo curry and one burger , coming right up! 

     “–you were really a detective? what a respectable career…!!”

and one that tamaki had completely romanticized in his head, confusing the actualities of the profession with the likes of sherlock holmes or the works of matsumoto seichō.

     “have you ever solve any locked room mysteries?”

Honestly, the rich were such troublesome people. Not even those who became billions overnight were this annoying. Then again he is young. 

 “A few times.” He admits. “But solving an actual mystery is harder because the thieves don’t just leave clues around. And its a lot more leg work.”

 “Oh. You’ll love it.” food 2.5 times bigger then the average, the produced in his own district was that big, leading to the people becoming bigger over generations. The average child is seven feet in height after all, and growing even bigger due to the sheer amount of nutrition in the produce.
