( Feels like forever. )
Practice Makes Perfect
It had been a year since Nagi and the rest of Scar Chain escaped the hell known as âDeadman Wonderlandââ Nagi had went into therapy to help him cope with the fact that his wife and child were gone, and that there was no family waiting for him outside of prison. The therapy seemed to be working since Nagi could honestly say he was sane without ripping someone apart.
Scar Chain however had become an organization outside of prison, with Nagi still the leader and Karako as second in command, this organization existed to look into things that the government wouldnât touch.
The headquarters they used even doubled for a restaurant for them to make money, since the government obviously wasnât paying them and they had to keep their organization a secret.
Nagi was in kitchen of the Scar Chain restaurant, he had been practicing making parfaits, Kosugi had been teaching everyone in Scar Chain, since he was the type to prepare for the worst, just in case something happened to him, Nagi was of course grateful for this, but he also didnât want Kosugi assuming that he would leave them anytime soon.
It was night and the back door of the kitchen that lead outside into an alley was left open, since it was getting rather stuffy in the kitchen, Nagi had been working on perfecting his cooking skills, since Kosugi happened to be sick, and with the restaurant opening in 3 hours, he had to make sure that everything he made was perfect. His concentration was broken by the sound of glass being stepped on along with a falling trash can, he slowly approached the back door and poked his head out of the door.
Ruka and Kou were challenged on the way home. Not that it was unusual. The thug that did it lead them to an alleyway, and was beaten as usual. In an act of desperation, he had pulled out Kouâs earring. Said tiger was not amused.
The thug had been kicked into the trash can, unconscious from the beating he was given. Kouichi stomped over to his body and grabbed his earring out of his hand. âYou fight like a bitch.â He spat, putting it back into itâs appropriate ear. âYou think we made too much noise? The people in that building are probably curiousâŚâ Ruka said, leaning over to look at the door to the said building. When he saw a familiar face pop out, he wave lightly. âHi Nagi~â
Hearing the sounds of people fighting always put him on the edgeâ he of course didnât want to get involved in a brawl, but he couldnât tolerate it going on outside of his restuarant, besides it would be bad if someone got arrested outside of his restuarantâ people may stop coming there, it may build a bad reputation or worse, people would make a habit of having fights in said alleyway. Before saying anything to them he silently watched the young men fight, âTwo on one, hm?âŚâ he thought to himself, of course heâd have no problem taking care of two young men if things got out of hand, but he didnât want things to lead to violence. Even if he had wanted to stop the men from damaging the other it was too late, he was too busy being caught up in his own thoughts to realize that the fight had ended. The light from the kitchen shined on the faces of the men and Nagi immediately recognized them, âKouichi! Ruka!â he said in a stern tone, even though he was no where near their father he couldnât help but feel like it was his job to say something to them, âcome inside, both of you.. please.â he wasnât trying to sound too demanding after all, it wasnât his place.
Kouâs head snapped up at the mention up his name while Ruka just frowned. The eldest slightly loosened up when the voice turned out to be Nagi, but nevertheless, he silently made his way inside, Ruka following after him. âWhatâs wrong?â The blonde asked.
As the boys walked inside he checked to see if any other men had been following them before closing the door, he sighed deeply, ââŚBoys, what was that about..?â he asked slowly switching his glances from Kouichi to Ruka waiting for one of them to start speaking.
Ruka knew Kou would get vulgar if he got to talk about it, so they shared a look. âWe were walking to the convenience store, when a guy came out and started saying a bunch of stuff about how he was tougher than us and could take the both of us down with no problem. It really isnât anything special, it happens all the time.â Kou crossed his arms and looked away while Ruka explained the situation.
A sigh of relief escaped Nagiâs mouth as he heard their explainationâ just a simple challenge, nothing too serious.. this happened often with teenagers, so he wasnât that worried, of course he wasnât happy that they were fighting but he would have rathered they won then were the ones who got beaten, âSo, you two didnât know that man?â
âNope. Maaaybe he was someone from middle school we forgot about?â The blonde turned towards Kou. âIâm pretty sure heâs not. Never seen âim in my life. Besides, I think a dude who fights like a bitch would be a little memorable.â Kou smirked to himself. âSee? Just a stranger.â Ruka confirmed.

âHeya~â he smiled and lit up a cigarette.
"Hello."
"Ah.. Guten Tag." Moringa said with a smile. "Nice to meet you."
Nagi was unfamiliar with the first language that was spoken to him but smiled anyway, "Nice to meet you as well, my name is Nagi Kengamine."
nagi-kengamine started following you
âHeyâŚâ
âHello.âÂ
âUm.. Iâm Kaine.â
"It's nice to meet you, I'm Nagi."
