But in the heart of Middle Earth, a crown had donned her forehead nearly as soon as her arrival. Perhaps it would settle with time, though the present sees it as an alien appendage, waiting to garner dexterity of any sort.

Other things remained constant, for which Vanimórë had fought tooth and nail to return to and no doubt valued above all else. One which, she noted, stood quite a bit taller than he once had, spurring thoughts of how her poor boy had fared without him. Capable or not, her husband made up only half the support their son needed and deserved. ( He’d eaten well enough, that much was apparent; growth only followed proper nutrition. What remained to be seen was nearly everything else a mother’s mind might invent to fret over. )

He’s mainly just indifferent to anyone else’s basic rights and emotions. Erik is a crazy cat lady who cannot handle the burden of more than one life in his hands. He can barely handle his own, please don’t make him responsible for more. Jenny is presh and wants everyone to be happy and healthy, but will not hesitate to scold you like she’s you’re mom regardless of who you are.
