ABSTRAKT WORLD is a project of a group of idiot artists who, instead of having a personal life, draw colorful little people.

The show tells about an absurd and chaotic world where physics does not physics, chemistry does not chemistry and everything is just upside down!

The main action takes place on the Island of Soul: a medium-sized island with a multi-story mushroom-house. Soul, the main character, lives in this house together with her close friends: InkSpot, Dust, Thrush, Bustle, Vibe and Naughty Guy.

Originally meant as a thesis animation for PRO1 course at my high school, which served as a motivation to finish this in a month

I received a few questions about the abstract world in telegram, which I will be happy to answer.

Question One:

How can you kill an Abstract? Besides drowning in air?

Answer:

An abstrakt can be killed by cutting it into two equal halves. These creatures are able to slowly but surely regenerate when cut from a part of the body with a larger area, but according to the logic of our world, if one part is 50% of the area and the second is also 50%, then the Abstract will not be able to regenerate. This is a very rare cause of death, because here you need to have a lot of meticulousness and cruelty to try to cut someone into perfect halves.

Question Two:

Where do the products for food for abstrakts come from? Is it possible to create your own recipe?

Answer:

Products grow on islands. The flora of the islands boasts "literal trees", "symbolic bushes" and berries of different colors! However, some islands have sources of food that are much rarer and more plentiful, and therefore, when abstrakts meet, they may trade. Abstrakt fauna is also edible. Note that flora and fauna in the abstrakt world are also two-dimensional. These also have no insides.

You can come up with any recipes, the main thing is that the food matches the main color of the abstrakt, is saturated in color, and it will be tasty!

Third Question:

How do abstrakts create objects for themselves other than clothes and food? I saw in your sketch comic with Clementine that she used scissors for self-defense, but how if abstrakts are not allowed to touch 3D Things?

Answer:

All things are also two-dimensional (2D), they only have a greater density than abstrakts and do not collapse / merge so easily. There are craftsmen who spend their entire lives creating things from dense fabrics to sell to other abstrakts. It's like cutting out clothes, only with stronger tools. Clementine used scissors, that's right. Scissors have thin and dense edges, which allows them to harm abstracts.

Question Four:

Can an abstrakt have weapons? If so, what kind and what are they made of?

Answer:

abstrakts can be any shape, up to 3 meters tall.

abstrakts are not detailed. regardless of your drawing style. they can have some shadows on their body or special pigmentation, nothing more.

They can be references to abstract paintings, have animal elements or not look like people at all.

When an abstrakt touches someone else and their colors mix, they do not necessarily have to come up with a logical color, although it is possible. blue and purple can create green.

Abstrakts CANNOT merge, like gems from Steven Universe

Abstrakts cannot interact with creatures in the air or on the ground. Because the firsts are 2D and the seconds are 3D, the lack of one dimension does not allow touching.

Abstrakts have clothes, but they are also two-dimensional. They have a special fabric that is made from the wool of the Jacquesian heeps. There is good quality fabric: matte and doesnt mix. And there is poor quality: it can mix with the color of the body and create a dirty shade.

Abstrakts can eat, but do not need to do so every day. The simplest dish is a ´´symbolic soup´´: mix different colors, letters, numbers, symbols, pebbles and glitter, and absorb. After absorbing this mixture, the contents of the soup spill over the entire body of the abstrakt, mixing with its colors and enriching them. The closer the soup is to the color of the abstrakt, the more pleasant/"tastier" it is for it.

Abstrakts need sleep. When the eye of the s*n closes and stops radiating energy to the sea, abstrakts begin to feel sluggish and go to sleep. Few are able to stay awake all night, because for this you will need energizers.

A history lesson

The earth used to be completely normal. Civilizations were at their beginning, about 1500. There was a universal BOOM, space and the laws of the universe were torn apart, broken into two, into three, and somehow sewn together. As a result, all the water in the world was thrown upward, changing places with the air, and the land remained completely deserted. Those people who miraculously survived the universal upheaval dried up or were crushed by unbearable pressure.

Abstrakts are conscious beings that differ in size, shape and color. They are flat, like paper dolls, but abstracts always see each other and themselves with the side they show. It is difficult to explain.

Since they are flat and consist of tissues incomprehensible to the human brain, they are able to mix their colors and merge by touching each other. Mixing does not always lead to the creation of the colors we are accustomed to: pink and turquoise might create orange, and light green and orange might just make purple. Mixing is pleasant for abstrakts, so they love physical contact.

Abstrakts are agenders (however, they can feel themselves closer to one gender or another). They do not have internal and reproductive organs. However, they are capable of reproduction, if they merge long enough in a "kiss" (lips and mouth are not necessary for this, if they are absent, joining the heads together will do) an egg with a new abstract will develop in one of the parents.

As was said earlier, abstracts vary in shape and size. They can be both anthropomorphic/upright and quadrupedal/animal.

Level 1: Land. Stones, endless deserts, absolutely no water on the ground. No one lives there except strange, thin creatures.

Level 2: Air. Whales, birds, and other fish and sea creatures fly here. The air is heavier than air, so it presses on the ground. Those living there move slowly. On the sides of the islands that are turned to the second level, the most favorable conditions for plants are: enough air and water, so there is a lot of vegetation.

Level 3: Water. Abstracts live in the water. There are plants, but due to the amount of water and the lack of air, there are significantly fewer of them than on the second level.

The water here is lighter than air. Therefore, abstracts and similar creatures live in the water. Abstracts cannot breathe air. Contact with it breaks up their bodies, if they don't wear special equipment.
