Silence is golden. Yet, my thoughts seem to be louder than my breath as I lay awake in bed, thrashing around, fighting the regrets which endlessly plague my mind. I’m good at living until I become over-conscious of all the stupid things I do. I long to be clean, I wish my mind could somehow hard reset itself. I want to do all the things I love for the first time again. I want to feel whole. Something in me has been missing for quite some time now. I want I want I want. But, no other being could fill the inexplicable emptiness that lives inside me. So I cry it all out until my eyes start to hurt. The silence is broken now, everything’s gone awry. I can’t hear my own mind. The music is too loud, but I like it this way.
