Rahovart nearly jumps as he’s yelled at. Is he sick, a sickness of the mind? Or could it simply be advanced age? “O-O. I see. You have not, so I am sure you remember much. And it is only natural to forget others if they do not create an impression. Such as myself, who is simple.” What a fearsome man. “But you must not glare at your food this way, or it will become shy and run away.”

Alexander blinked in surprise at Rahovart's last comment. It took him a moment to realize, he meant this as a joke. Coughing awkward, as he figured, he had already missed the appropriate moment to laugh, he shook his head, he turned back to Rahovart.

"I am not-. This is my-... face", he replied lamely.

Alright, I finally finished my offline writing day. I finished a total of 18 replies. Which will be queued on their respective blogs to post on reply per day, starting tomorrow. Here’s a little breakdown, of how many replies are to be expected on which blog:

To make a considerable dent in my drafts again, I plan on scheduling tomorrow, Friday, 19th as an “offline writing day”. Those who know me longer, already know what that’s about. So they can skip the next paragraph and just read the last part. Everybody else get a brief explanation now.

An offline writing day, aka #OWD is when I cut off any internet-communication (that includes disc*rd and IM) and only focus on writing replies for my drafted threads for a preset amount of time (usually 6-8hrs). That usually assures that I get up to 30+ thread-replies done in one day and therefore is a good way for me, to clear out backlog. The replies don’t get posted immediately but set up in a queue, that starts posting the next day. Which is a measurement to avoid getting overwhelmed with reply-spam again.

He had almost decided on leaving before he caught his attention. “Ah. Good day, I am Rahovart, a simple mending man. We have never met before.” Hesitating, Rahovart enters, and gingerly places the tray in his hands.

“You are Sir… Alexander. I do know, for the ones who asked me to deliver this food. It is for yourself. But you do look so infuriated, and very sad. Why is it so?” Rahovart dares not take any more than a few steps past the doorway without say-so. He feels as though this man is a veteran of a Templar, he’s likely stronger than he’ll ever be and very dangerous.

"Rahovart", the old templar rumbles in an attempt to memorize the name. Turning away again, he went to place the plate on his table. When the servant asked about his mood, Alexander started down at his place with a dark expression.

It was embarrassing to admit, that his memory was failing him so easily, to a stranger even more.

"It is none of your concern!", he barked defensively, before he remembered himself and sighed.

Rahovart peers in from the doorway, a plate of food in his hands. So this is a templar. One man of many that had, from what he’d heard, restrained mages like rabid animals. Why? Rahovart couldn’t guess, and the words sound ridiculous in his head. This doesn’t halt the anxiety he has in approaching him, even now that he’s joined the Inquisition.

So here he stands. Awkwardly edging into the doorway with the older man’s food in his hands, unsure of whether to brave forth or retreat.

Alex hear the door to his room opening and instinctively stood up. When the door didn't open any further, he shifted his feet uncomfortably. As an Orth, he grew up with many superstitions. He would not be happy, if his room turned out to be haunted. Then finally a worried face appeared in the doorway.

"You are-...?"

The templar's face darkened, his brows furrowed as he tried to recall whether or not he has seen this man's face before. His waning memory was constant source of frustration for Alex and when he couldn't come up with a name fitted to that face, his anger over it was clearly written on his scarred face.

Moving towards the other man, he held out his hands to take the tray from him, so he doesn't have to carry it all the way across the room.

“We’re passing through an old style distress signal.”

“I didn’t say there’s anything wrong with me.”

“What the devil are you putting in there? Ice?”

“Who wants a warm martini?”

“Was there anything you could’ve personally done to prevent it?”

“Oh, I should’ve smelled trouble when I saw the swords and the armor.”

“I’m tired of deciding which mission is too risky and which isn’t, and who’s going on the landing party and who doesn’t, and who lives and who dies.”

“I might go into business on Regulus or on the Orion colony.” 

“The point is that this isn’t the only life available. There’s a whole galaxy of things to choose from.”

“I think it’s time to show the captain our secret.”

“There’s a reason for our condition, but we’ve had some doubt if Earth is ready to know the secret.

“You’re tired. Don’t worry, you’ll feel much better soon.”

“Don’t you see it? Here and here.”

“This is all some sort of trap.”

“It appears,  ___________, that the intelligence level of the specimen is shockingly limited.” 

“You’re not speaking, yet I can hear you.”

“You now see the primitive fear threat reaction.”

“There’s a way out of any cage, and I’ll find it.”

“Despite its frustration, the creature appears more adaptable than our specimens from other planets.”

“We can soon begin the experiment.”

“The inhabitants of this planet must live deep underground.”

“Our tests indicate the planet’s surface, without considerably more vegetation or some animals, is simply too barren to support life.”

“It was a perfect illusion. They had us seeing just what we wanted to see.”

“Now, let’s be sure we understand the danger of this.”

“The inhabitants of this planet can read our minds, they can create illusion out of a person’s own thoughts, memories and experiences, even out of a person’s own desires.”

“That entry may have stood up against hand lasers, but we can transmit the ship’s power against it. enough to blast half a continent.”

I’m basically done with sorting through my DARP-muses. I deleted a great deal and some got shifted to other blogs. Some muses will only exist as Side-muses from now on. Which means, I will mention them in other muses’ threads, if applicable and other than that, they’ll only be available on request.

To give everyone an overview over which muses I’ll keep and what blogs they’ll be on, I’ll post a list underneath the cut. This list also includes my non-DARP muses. I will rotate this post on all my active blogs. So if you follow multiple blogs of mine, just block the tag #KaiMunSelfReblog.

I still have some things to sort and some rules to add. So I will gradually return to my muses, instead all at once. If you want to play with any of the muses listed below the cut, contact me on the respective blog and we can talk about possible plots.

Alright, so I’m considering to return to DARP, but I will definitely change a lot. For one, I will most likely drop the vast majority of canon-characters, that I played. I will only hold onto 3 or 4 of them, which actually have a developed timeline and community already. Of my OCs, I will drop some, I hardly ever played, or who are closely related to other muses, I play anyways. The OCs I keep, I will mostly make multiverse. So I can play them outside the Dragon Age universe as well.

Additional to that, I’ll limit my threads overall. Per muse, I will only play total of 5 actual threads and those need to have a proper plot. That doesn’t mean, I won’t reply to ask-prompts and such anymore, I just won’t turn them into elongated threads, unless discussed a length beforehand.

I’ll still play some of my dropped muses on d*scord if in the mood and with the right people, but overall, I’ll limit my interactions down to a comfortable minimum.

There’s various reasons for this, which I will not enclose upon. But the gist of it is, I do this, to limit my negative experiences in DARP. So, that I can wholly enjoy roleplaying my muses again, without any bitter aftertaste.

I don’t give a definite date, yet because I still have to sort through my muses, reorganize stuff and add the new rules and I don’t want to stress myself with a deadline, but it will probably happen before New Year. I will make extra announcements on the specific blogs, if I decide to drop a muse, or shift them to a related muse. So that people can accommodate to that in time.

In the meantime, I’m still active on the following non-DA muses, which I will keep active even after my return to DARP:

Since, I was talking about him earlier, I decided to try and redo Alex’s scar-chart. I made one a long while ago, but I was never quite satisfied with it. So here’s a new attempt. This is how Alex’s facial scarification look like.

Shifting his feet once more, he crossed his arms over his chest, more in an attempt to gather his own skittered thoughts, than to seem threatening in his posture. It didin’t matter really, he would look intimidating either way. “Mages will always need protection”; he finally concluded, “Whether it is us... or the Inquisition. Someone will look after them.” Twice already had someone called for Alexander to break up a fight between mages and templars. The man’s sheer size and the icy glare from a scarred face usually were enough to intimidate the squabblers into a begrudging peace. What other did the Inquisition really do, just on a larger scale?

Now that the muse-overhaul has come to it’s conclusion, here’s a brief summary of what happened. Please read carefully. So that you know, how I will roleplay from now on. The text allso contains links to all the blogs, that got moved to a new account.
