AXEL calls her phone. 

               ❛ nah, don’t blame the liquor now. you still got a full glass, just say you wanted to try it for me. ❜  she mocked as she leaned forward, pressing her body into his childishly.   ❛ how many times do i have to tell you that i’m never wrong, ax? it’s gettin’ a little offensive at this point. ❜ a pout formed on her full duo as she tilted her head to the side, intently watching him speak, letting a bright smile form on her lips. when his question is posed. ❛ watch out, man. the cheetah girls don’t lie, don’t even play like that. ❜ her defense of the fictional girl group came with a deadpan expression before her genuine answer emerged.  ❛ i almost bought a birkin today, so i need to get the fuck as soon as possible. it’s really beautiful though, so rich and culture. i never thought a place could be so romantic, i would relocate, but what would you do without me? ❜ she goaded. 

          “I would...die for you...darlin’ if you want me tooo ‘ooo,” He sung the infamous PRINCE record while hitting a subtle dance move that resulted in him hitting the table, and press on his newly tatted leg, AXEL winced, as a hiss escaped him. Shortly a teeter from him followed despite the pain. “Gahdamn, that’s you jinxing the air with your damn lies. Never wrong? Zai, please.” His focus was now down to inspect his leg again as he listened to her dish a defense of the girl group and her potential purchase. With that mentioned his eyes popped up, with his brow risen. “Aw shit now, big shot. You doin’ it like that? Shit, buy me somthin’,” He joked and rested back eyeing her gloat that caused him to grin back to mirror. Her question had him roll his eyes to the ceiling. “Well, I’d have a chance to play my favorite tracks without rebuttal of lies for one. Any other questions, hater?”

          ❛ you’re allergic to shrimp but will try caviar if i do? you’re willing to die for me? i love it here. ❜  playfully, she placed both of her hands across her heart, batting her eyelashes dramatically before a giggle naturally emitted her matte covered duo. ❛ you are not gonna starve, just big and dramatic. lemme put you on. ❜ she said in a low whisper as the waitress came back around. ❛ can i get one order of paella, half with chicken and mushrooms and the other half vegetables only. and can i have a glass atrium chardonnay. ❜ she ordered, a bit of dominance in her tone, although her disposition remained saccharine. once the woman walked off with the order, she turned back to axel. ❛ if you don’t like it, i’ll let your picky ass starve and peep the view. ❜ she mimicked his earlier statement. 

             “See ?” AXEL pushed back the cup of alcoholic concoction given to him, as his head waved in disapproval. “That’s how I know I done had enough of that shit, already. About to kill my own ass not even realizin’ it.” Her slight ridicule in a manner of teasing him caused him to smile weakly, although reluctant to, knowing it was the reaction she was definitely hoping for. He gazed over ZAIRE’s mannerisms as she spewed their order, and gave her a nod of approval and a gentle clutch of her wrist. “...all gold stars for you. Thank you. But you’re wrong, I’m bankin’ on the burger with the view this time. How’re you likin’ Barcelona so far? Ain’t it like...the music capitol of the world or some shit, right? Or was The Cheetah Girls lyin’?” Although stated half jokingly his inquiry genuine. 

         ❛ yeah, being in spain and eating a burger that’s literally described as ‘american’ is bottom of the barrel. they probably got chicken tenders and fries if you wanna really nigga it up. ❜ she teased, a faux despondent expression displayed upon her visage as she read the menu herself, her eyes widening as she noted the options that were dubbed in both english and spanish. nothing really coinciding with her own diet. ❛ but, i wouldn’t blame you since that the only shit i can read on here. what, you don’t like… ❜ picking a random menu item, she let a small laugh fall from her lips. ❛ beluga caviar? ❜

              “That’s the thing though, Zai,” AXEL responded was relieving himself of his denim jacket after finding the space to be suitable enough to do without at this point. “...I want authentic ass spanish food. I’m just concerned about how they cookin’ the pasta. I’m allergic to shrimp,” He admitted finally and grew even more agitated, but laughter finally escaped him at her antics. “That shit sound crazy. But I’ll try it if you do,” He glanced her way with his brow risen and lips folded in to conceal a smile. “Since you a bold one. I’m about to say fuck it though, and just go peep the view. I’ll starve...”

She nodded at his notes and began to start mixing in the sounds as she continued to listen to him talk. As she did so, the one change she did made it sound a whole lot better with his input. Smiling softly at the male, she looked over at him and watch as he walked back into the booth. As sultry as the beat was, his vocals matched right along with it. As he continued to lay the track, Ava made sure to tune the channels exactly as they needed to be, her hands moving at lighting speed. Once he stopped, she cleared her throat and looked up at the glass. “Axe, do me a favor. Let’s do a full dry run of the song, please. I want to hear it all the way out, just to see how everything flows. Start from the second post-chorus, please and then head into the bridge, then hit the end for me.” She stated before rolling the track back a bit and then pressing play.

             He stuck a thumbs up, and reach for the bottle of water. After taking a healthy sip of the fluid the nursed his throat, AXEL waited for the track to be played. The sound that blasted through speaker was a continuous motivator that challenged him to the vocals better than the previous time.  At the designated section she requested, he did another run with much emphasis at the areas necessary that his gruff tenor allowed. What followed the second post-chorus was the bridge that he hit. As repetitious as the verses were that followed towards the ending of the track, he hit it few times once more and included lengthy ad-libs to work with until the songs very end. AXEL gave himself a moment before clearing his throat an spoke through the mic. “I think we got it for the most part. We can distort the ending a lil bit with a few tweaks. But I feel like I’ll be much more satisfied with this run...”
