Stephen Miller wants us all dead. He will do anything in his power to get that. A down-ballot moderate who wants more funding for your community but has never met a queer person? Can be persuaded to give a shit about you in ways that are productive. Unlike Stephen Miller.

This is a hostage situation. We’re the hostages. You can’t get everything you want in the first round of negotiations. You have to incrementally improve the situation until you have enough leverage and opportunity to overpower the people holding you hostage.

This also goes for voting for moderate Dems. Their policies might be 20 years behind but they can be pressured and persuaded to give a shit about policies and positions we care about.
