Each character is an alternate version of an existing BFDI character. Most characters loosely resemble their real counterparts, but some are more closely related to their old selves.

Each character features:

• a design

• name (plate)

• pronouns

• ability (unique) with explanation of ability

• real counterpart (ex. Lighter in actual BFDI would be called Match*, which is what is used to identify each alternate.) (Alternates with the same name as their real counterpart have * next to their name & do not need an alternate note.)

Needle quickly opens the door…

*Purple Face slams the door shut quickly.*

…and Needle opens the door again.

In An Ability For One, Team Misfortumates are roaming Hallway B of the Paradox School, a whopping 2763.28 miles long. However, they just realized that all the doors lead to random locations about 83 miles in.

Bell*: You JUST realized this? *pant* WHY COULDN’T HAVE WE DID THIS EARLIER?! *pant*

Needle*: BELL, CALM DOWN! It’s not that bad. We could have went down all 2763 miles of randomized doors & transcendent portal-lockers.

Six*: …ugh, why are you even, like, calling them by their… full… name thing, just call them lockers, Needy!

Bomby*: Oooh, this world looks COOL!

Needle*: CLOSE THAT DOOR, BOMBY! We are TRYING to look for a fallen universe! We CANNOT have any distractions!

*Needle slams the door shut*

Needle: What’s going to be in this next one, HUH?

Six: Listen, I don’t know ANYTHING about this place! Just because I’m a… digit… doesn’t mean you have to treat me so harshly!

Needle: Fair.

*Needle opens the door slowly…*

*Needle opens the door mid- sentence*

Both worlds meet eyes with each other…

Needle mid-sentence slams the door shut in disgust before Gangle could.

Needle: Who was that mask or that… lump?

Six: I don’t know? How am I supposed to know anything? Come on, maybe there’s something elsewhere.

Blankety: (mumbling) Your so corny…

Btw this was my first time drawing them so it kinda looks inaccurate…? Idk what those weird lines on her were supposed to be, so I assumed they were zippers ^^

First off, before looking at my art, please ignore the word “Definations” scattered everywhere & replace it with “Definitions.” These are unique features of some of my OCs that make them stand out from a normal OSC character.

Every character has a gender label, notes (if you need to know something or any specific features), Natures (skipped the whole lore writing thing for now, felt like this was WAY easier), stats (to reflect how a character would realistically perform in an object show, or just in general), a creation date (says “New!” if I have just made it), & a name tag, obviously!

My first retake is Gum Bubble (didn’t call him “Bubble Gum,” because I feel like that doesn’t fit design wise??)

You might thing Gum Bubble would have an exponentially low DEF stat (because of, well, Bubble), but Gum Bubble has lived & trained so long that he can even sense when someone is trying to pop him.

Either way, Gum Bubble doesn’t disappear into the air. He’s made of gum, so he doesn’t die but just turns into a pile of gum that can slide around. “But Abobatea, how does he even die th-“ When he gets torn directly in half.

Gum Bubble’s personality is based off of Snowball. (TPOT)

The next retake is Heart.

Heart has 2 forms, Polygon (the OG form, was pink in 2021), & normal form. These forms depend on how he feels like.

Canonically, Heart has participated in an object show (unnamed) & was a finalist (Placed Top 5). He is a sympathetic person & gets along with people. This lore is sampled from his 2024 lore, which came from a VERY different Heart. This old Heart would basically stalk anyone she liked & was a partial joke character.

Heart is partially based off of Liy. (TPOT)

The last OC isn’t a retake, but is a new OC, named Punch Cup!

Punch Cup is a very curious object who loves to explore, talk to her friends, & make jokes! In her spare time, she loves going around the world to new ventures! She has signed up to participate in a new Object Show (newbie) with her friends (coming soon, maybe in like 6 months at this rate)

Punch Cup’s design is partially based off of OJ (II) and Cane’s Cup (Animatic Battle, I believe), & her personality partially comes from Lindsay (TDI).
