"I'll Call you to arrange any more meetings with Abigail then, Mr Hasegawa." "Ah, its not my responsibility, I'm sure Abi can do it on her own." With that awkward silence, the social worker leaves, Zenkichi sighs in relief as soon as the door clicks shut. "Jeez, Pushy Much?" He murmurs to himself, turning around to see Abi looking away. "Heh, That's the lady you've been seeing? looks like she's a real piece of work." The Cop jokes lightly, stopping immediately when he sees Abi's mouth trembling, literally on the verge of crying. "Are you...upset about anything she said?" Abi can only shrug, with a pathetic little whimper of "Some...." Then it clicked for Zenkichi. "Ah. You're upset that I was here for that, aren't you?" Annnnd Abi's now crying into his chest. Zenkichi brings her to the couch, letting her cry it all out. "I really tried to like, work it around when you would be at work and Akane would be at school. But she said it had to be today and i couldn't stop it." Abi explains, once she was able to talk through any of her tears. Zenkichi listens intently, holding her hand in his.

"I really don't want to sound like i'm being disingenuous but, why is no one being here during these meetings so important to you?" Asks Zenkichi. Abi replies near instantly. "So neither of you can see how pathetic and incapable i am...!" "Oh Abi, don't be ridiculous." Zenkichi Holds Abi close as she said that. "You're not pathetic, far from it actually." "Y-You'll really think i am now though!" Abi insists. "Someone my age needing some dumbass social worker or any fucker breathing down my neck." Abi sniffs, crying a bit again. She feels Zenkichi hold her tighter. "You...You wanna know what she said that upset me?...Its stupid in retrospect but i can't stop thinking about it." "If it made you upset, then its not stupid. What is it?" Zenkichi replies, letting her speak her mind. "She...She called you my Carer." Abi reveals. The cop holds her close as Abi tells all. How it felt like it confirmed things about their relationship that she always feared, Like how their relationship is less Zenkichi and her taking care of Akane, more just Zenkichi taking care of Abi and Akane, Their relationship not really being that normal. As well as, her fear of people looking down on Zenkichi because he's with her. "It's like...I wouldn't blame you for cheating on me with a more capible, prettier woman." "Abi! Stop!" Zenkichi exclaimed, looking at her like she just said the dumbest thing in the world, because to him, she did. "Like hell would i do something so shitty to you!" "But...I deserve it..." Abi insists meekly. "No????? You don't??????" Zenkichi replies. He sighs. "Look, I'm not lying to you when i say i don't think of you any differently on any less just because you need that extra bit of help in life." "You still deserve better though." "I know, and i already got the 'better' right here."

Finally Abi lets out a huff of a laugh, a small achivement on Zenkichi's end. "Idiot..." she murmurs into his shoulder. "But thank you..." Drying her eyes, Abi takes a deep breath, calming down. "My whole isolation thing is gonna take ages to crack though." Abi begins, referring to what they discussed in the meeting. Zenkichi nods, agreeing and saying that he doubts she'll fully let it go. "Hehe, At least you get it Zen..." Zenkichi smiles, happy that Abi was feeling a little better, before looking at the papers on the coffee table. one was a blank timetable, made to jot down things that need doing in the week. the other was a small stack of papers, stapled together in the corner, each with tickable boxes and pictures of various activites next to them. "Yeesh this looks like an activity book for pre schoolers" Zenkichi huffs before looking over at Abi, "So much for treating you like an adult eh?" He adds, making Abi smile. Zenkichi watches as abi takes the paper from his hands, and stuffing it and the blank timetable in the draws of the coffee table. "I'll worry about it later." Abi says, before sitting back next to the cop. "I agree." Zenkichi chuckles. "Say, if it isn't too much trouble on you, i do wanna start joining you on these meetings." he asks. "Even through all your stress i could tell you were happy to have me there." "I was...Actually gonna ask you." Abi says. "Well, since you now know about it, it'd be pretty dumb of me to keep it hidden. And you'll help me understand half the stuff she tells me about." Abi says. "And, i wanna get rid of all that supid carer talk she was putting in your head." Zenkichi mentions, resting his chin atop her head. "But i get it though." He begins, a smug tone laced in his voice. "No way ol' gramps has someone as gorgeous as you as a girlfriend." He says, earning a tug of his hair from Abi, who's laughing. "Shut uppp! I'm the one outta your league!" "Nuh-Uh >:3" "....Fuck u mean nuh-uh???"
