abigail gradually slows her steps until she comes to a halt. chestnut brown eyes have spotted a man not too far from her. frankly: he does not look like he belongs here. a jogger, judging by the sporty outfit ( is that . . . a fanny pack? ). interesting choice there given the condition of the forest ground: too bumpy, too brushy, and way too many exposed tree roots. definitely not the ideal place for a smooth run. she then confidently makes her way over to the stranger, raising her voice: ❛ —got lost? ❜

❛ so, you're telling me you're an air force pilot. ❜ it's not so much his occupation per se that is giving her a hard time, but rather his place of residence that seems a little atypical for people the likes of him ( she could be wrong, of course ). ❛ —and they parked you in east haven? i don't know, man, sounds like you might be fired. ❜ said half seriously, half jokingly, while waiting for further elaboration from the other.

❛ have you ever considered getting a proper paint job for the van? ❜ chestnut brown eyes set on the car the other has repaired herself ( or so she has been told, at least ). the perfect canvas and yet practically unused. abigail clearly envisions something a lot bigger, something a bit more . . . flamboyant. ❛ i'm not talking about some lame ass automotve painting in all black, you know? i'm thinking art! ❜

❛ i know they say size doesn't matter, but i think that's bullshit. ❜ brown eyes firmly set on the small object in front of her, arms crossed over her chest just as firmly. the brunette is visibly dissatisfied with the presented option, insulted almost that someone would think this could even be considered a proper possibility. she then points at a significantly bigger pumpkin. ❛ i say we take this one. ❜
