Petro China ends our list at ten

Ladies and gentlemen,

They make the World turn

Will make this World burn

Capitalist, Communist,

All of that talk will crash

Run by who has the cash

never good news

seemed, the fatter the envelope

the more purple my bruise

so many hours, just us two

when the drinks drained down

and the bills piled up

what else could you do?

DARK ROOMS USED TO SCARE ME

pulled back sheets

alcohol on breath

never felt any safety

Bottled Sunshine 1/8/15

It’s like bottled sunshine. I lay there in the part of the room relieved of shadows, a window-print on the floor. My eyes closed and Heart open, I dream of fields of grass and other kids who want to play. Hot summers and cold fruit on the picnic table. All from the safety of the four walls around me. Nothing else matters but the way the sun feels on my face.

I am twelve years old today. Maybe this is my year. I feel Hope and Happiness and maybe even a hint of Love. The sunshine washes over me like a delicate cleanse, and I am grateful for the relief. I hear the door open and suddenly open my eyes to see.

To see Greg going through the dumpster again. Despite all of his (rather tattered) clothing he is still cold. Greg isn’t one for words, but he remembered my birthday. “Maybe this is your year,” as he handed me the Dollar Double he saved up for. The warmth is fading, the ice on the ground below me a reminder of my exposure and condition. There is just enough left, and I push every last drop through the needle and into my vein. A smile spreads across my face as I enjoy my last helping of bottled sunshine.

It is up to you to decide if the child is happy, sad, hurt, playing, etc.. You have all the freedom you want! The room can be full of toys, or empty and sparse. The child could be in punishment or with friends or maybe the room is not even real at all. It is up to YOU! Also, "child" is a loose term for you to interpret.

The Hopeless Romantic 1/8/15

Sol is the kind of guy that shines so bright you need shades to look at him. If you let him tell it, being in his presence could melt your face off. To me, Sol is the most interesting dichotomy around. The alpha of the alphas. Fiery, fierce, fear inducing. Capable of bringing any living being to its knees. On a bad day, Sol can ruin lives. He knows the power he wields. Yet, total control of that power is not always in his grasp. Sol’s accidents are disastrous. However, it is Sol’s vengeance that shows the true power he possesses. Nothing will rise his terrifying ire worse than harm coming to his sister, Terra. To see Sol’s temper flare, to feel the wrath of his anger, will burn a hole right through you. But before I allow the scope of Sol’s vindictive capabilities horrify you. Allow me to show you the dichotomous side of his personality. Sol is Love. Sol is warmth. Sol can bring a smile on the face of all animate beings. His smile literally helps you grow. In my eyes, nothing shows the true tenderness of Sol’s psyche more than his Love for Luna. I call their romance “The eternal celestial chase”. Although they have only met in passing, Sol burns for Luna. Many do not know this but Luna is the reason Sol wakes up. He rises with her on the mind and rest with her in his Heart. Love is a funny thing, Sol knows of many beautiful Stellas. Hearts that burn as intense as his. He knows that if he follows his Heart, he will be doomed to live the life of The Hopeless Romantic. He understands that any contact with his Love would result in catastrophe. So, he lives for those glimpses of Luna. Those fleeting moments when their paths cross.
