Mmmm. Tyranny never ceases to amaze me. You guys really should start separating from the EU. Since this passed, there is no telling what else that may pass to oppress you all further. They banned an expression of ones self. The very ideology of such a thing is against the human right to even freely speak. This will indeed have horrible rippling effects on the world so far. As I said before, you pass one tiny law to go against free speech, there is nothing stopping them from completely banning free speech altogether. Welp, better get on the ol burlap clothing again, the whole world’s going back to the middle ages. Oh, right, I can’t freely express that, guess I’m going to the dungeon to be executed. Oh, by that one device where horses drag you from both sides until you get ripped apart? Oh goody! Even though I live in the US, no doubt something like this can and will radiate over here, perverting the thoughts of the lesser individuals and making them even more slaves to the bidding of a globalist regime. It will happen if this keeps going on. I beg that everyone in the EU will do the right thing and vote against this in the upcoming EU General Elections in May. For if this to pass, many will follow. The many shall suffer while the few live like kings. (If that doesn’t already sorta happen, but I digress.)
Anyways, I do believe that a company should be able to protect it’s intellectual property, but not like this. A damn algorithm can and will not be able to make accurate decisions based on said material it sees. (If Youtube and Twitter aren’t already proof of that as it is.) For that, you need human judgement as to what is passable and what is blatant thievery. I mean, I believe that parodies and other sorts of fan art of favorite brands, movies, etc, are very good for business. It definitely gets your name out there. As well as influences others to buy your product. So, by doing this, you are actually killing yourselves as a company to begin with. Especially when people start to resent your brand as the cause of their loss of free speech. So GG on that one. Honestly, we all need more jobs, especially in the US. By having people actively sorting through such things on such websites, you could create jobs.
Eh, I’m probably preaching to the choir on this, but still. Do the right thing.
