Customers that think us lowly cashiers are somehow the brains behind the operation. They somehow think we are the ones responisble for absolutely everything that goes wrong or doesn’t go their way. Chances are only 5% of the time, is the problem our fault and that’s when we mess up on tills, and usually that’s because customers heckle us.

I have a few pet peeves but the number one peeve that never fails to get me is when people bring their stuff up even go through the process of having me scan it, then go “oh wait a minute, I need something else.” And dash off for god knows how long to figure out that one bag of chips they absolutely need.
