Even though the reason for his laughter was how ridiculous you looked the first time he splashed you with water, but oh well.

Now, you're quite busy fixing your still damp hair and recollecting your clothes - which you thankfully placed far enough from the lake so that they wouldn't get wet. You sigh in relief when you still find them in their place, having feared for a moment that perhaps some sneaky creature could've stolen something while you weren't looking.

Once you deem yourself dry enough, you put everything back on and walk up to Flowery, who's still buttoning up his own shirt. He grins at you;

"I like your hair," he nods at your head, clearly poking fun at how messy it looks.

"Pfft- thanks, yours isn't half bad either!" you reach to mess it up even further to annoy him, but he leans backwards just in time to avoid your hand, "Hey! I deserve my payback!"

"Get faster than a flower then, hah!"

You continue poking fun at each other for a while as you finish getting ready to head back; the walk to the Flower Castle is not the shortest, so you figure Flowery might teleport you there at some point, but you both still want to enjoy a nice night walk for a while anyways.

As you eventually start walking towards the castle, a light breeze picks up; it's not strong enough to actively bother you, but you still perceive it as you try to keep a chill conversation going between you and Flowery who, attentive as he always is, seems to take notice of it.

He hums at some point, and stops in his tracks; you naturally stop walking too, and backtrack a little.

"Is anything wrong?" you ask, a tint of worry in your tone.

He doesn't verbally reply, and simply chooses to hold the jacket he always brings along towards you; you let out a surprised little 'Oh!' as he gently nudges you closer to himself and places it on your shoulders, and then tilts his head as his hands hover above them.

"Hmm, would you rather wear it, or is this enough?" he asks, but it sounds more like he's contemplating what to do between himself. He decides to smooth out the fabric a little, and then make sure the jacket is covering enough of your arms too.

"…Wow, so gentlemanly of you…!" you tease him lightly, although you're glad it's so dark he most likely can't see the blush building up on your cheeks.
