That actually makes me happy because the same happened to me from other peoples writings and such (it rlly came out of nowhere for me as well!!!)

Especially because half the time I think my stuff is just…not that great as everyone else’s snsndjfjfejdjd

Wanted this to be good, thought about it too hard, went on vacation, came back, now I’m not sure anymore, bon appetit

- He notices. He notices most if not all things. Your expressions, your eyes, the way you fuss with or ignore your appearance. He sees the way your eyes dart from your reflection in the water, or when the flower gang is engaging in an activity that has everyone needing to get dolled up. The way your smile sours ever so slightly.

- And as Flowery does with most people when he knows they’re avoiding something internally, he does something about it in whatever way he thinks will help.

- He starts off with complimenting you, but he does that most days so it’s hard to tell, until his compliments get rapid fired off to you. Cutting you off anytime you talk down on yourself.

- He cradles your face in his hands more frequently. Even when simply talking, he sprinkles in adoring words here and there, rubbing his thumbs across your cheeks, tracing the line of your jaw. Peppering you in soft sweet kisses until your head spins.

Hanging out with your friends was always fun and exciting! Something was always going on that has you smiling and laughing, but for this particular occasion…you didn’t feel like doing either of those things. Aqua had suggested a bit of dress up, which morphed into everyone putting on a play (Blue’s idea).

You were content to watch as part of the “audience”. Seated between Green and Flowery on a couple cushions on the floor.

A quick and simple cut out display was put up with some curtains showing Aqua as a knife happy knight. Seth came out, holding a piece of paper as they reread their lines but you were distracted by Flowery’s thigh pressing against yours. You shift slightly to make room for him, not looking away from the cute display in front of you.

His thigh bumps against yours again, and Flowery’s voice whispers in your ear entirely too close. “Hey, I think Blue wants us to go over there. (Heyyyy.)” Your skin prickles and you almost bump into Green from how fast you whip your head away from him. He quietly snickers but motions you with his hands to follow him. You finally spot Blue waving you both over.

“Finally, come here you two.” Blue says ushering you both towards him behind the curtains. You both follow, letting the fabric close behind you all. There’s a few piles of fabric and props, paper and crayons scattered across the floor as well. You’ll have to remember to help Blue clean up later.

Blue starts holding up a couple costumes under your chin, then Flowery’s.

“Um-“ you start, but Blue cuts you off shaking his head. “Sorry dear, but we need a couple of royals for this next scene! All hands on deck!” He nods at his selection and shoves a couple costumes into your arms, shooing you both off to a closet area.

Flowery is smiling when he disappears behind one of the doors. You go to a secluded spot out of view of others and stare down at the options Blue gave you. Three different outfits to suit whatever style you prefer….

Which brings you back to present… you look at yourself in the mirror. You put on the styled outfit suited to your tastes but you just….

You turn away from the mirror, and about smush your face right into Flowery’s torso. You step back quickly, stumbling and bumping into the mirror behind you. It tilts and Flowery catches it quickly before it can fall on you. His “leaf it to me!” Sounds off and he looks at you with a quizzical brow.

“Everything ok, Buttercup? You don’t seem to be feeling flowerific right now.” You look up at him, arms still caging you in, keeping the mirror steady. Your cheeks warm a bit, taking him in his princely attire in. Bright colors and crisp cleanliness… so fitting for him….

You look back down at yourself and turn away from him, helping him prop the mirror back up so he can put his arms back down. You clench fistfuls of costume fabric as you stare down at your shoes.

“You look good in that Flowery…” you say. He blinks, perking up. “Thank you! You do too!”

He says it so matter of fact…

You glance back up at yourself in the mirror, meeting his gaze in the reflection. “I just…think you should go out there. I’ll stay here.” You say.

Flowery’s brows furrow. “But why? I need my ‘royal companion’!”

You chew on your lip, debating how to express this because you know how he is. “I just think. You’re more fit for this than me. Better for it.” You fidget slightly. He tilts his head slightly, gold peeking out at you from under his lashes. “I think you’re very charming in it!” He closes his eyes again leaning forward a bit to take your hands in his.

He raises them up to his lips and he kisses both of your knuckles. “Very stylish. Suits you great! (A great style!)” You sigh rolling your eyes and turning your head back in exasperation. Because of course he would immediately know what’s up. He tugs your hands, bringing you closer and making you look at him.

His compliments continue, a quick kiss in between each one. Your entire face is thoroughly loved on and appreciated.

Your head swims at the attention and warm encouragement. He then starts pressing his lips to the corner of your mouth.

You sigh, relenting that ok ok you get it you look good.

He only grins bigger, pulling you to him again to kiss you properly. He cradles your head gently as he tilts his head more. After a moment he lets you go, and you open your mouth to say something when Blue comes back.

“Bouncing blue butterflies, are you two okay back here?”

You immediately straighten up and Flowery grabs your hand with a big smile like nothing happened. “Yep! We’re ready to rule!”
