Being able to draw older people as attractive without reducing or erasing the visual signs of aging, and in fact showing that they're attractive because of those signs, is an artistic skill that should be valued so much more. Honestly, it should earn you an immediate fortune because holy fuck is it a rare commodity. There are so many artists who seem to think attractiveness and aging exist in opposition to each other, so they smooth every wrinkle, erase every crease, and de-age the character until they're basically thirty with silver hair. But when an artist can look at crow's feet, smile lines, weathered skin, deep-set wrinkles, and all the little traces of a life well lived and say, "No, that's what makes them beautiful," that's a level of artistic observation and care I wish we celebrated more often.
Yummy !!
writers ought to look up child development milestones before creating child characters, so we can stop writing allegedly neurotypical ten year olds who act like toddlers
I’ve seen a lot of pro-aborts blame pro-life laws for women facing complications in their pregnancy and the doctors not doing anything about it. They say doctors are scared to take care of women because of abortion bans. When pro-lifers say it’s the doctors fault and it’s medical malpractice, they still blame us.
This past weekend my sister-in-law informed me that her pregnant sister had some bleeding. Her midwife told her to visit the doctor and ask for an ultrasound. The doctor told her there was no reason to and sent her home. Her midwife was pretty upset about her doctor ignoring her request and demanded they do an ultrasound. The ultrasound found she has Placenta Previa and is on bed rest now.
According to Journal of Pregnancy, “Placenta previa and placental abruption have long been recognized as major obstetric complications that result in maternal and fetal mortality as well as morbidity.” No law prevented him from doing an ultrasound to make sure her baby was okay and figure out why she was bleeding. There’s always been an issue with doctors not taking women’s concerns seriously. This has nothing to do with pro-life laws and has everything to do with the failure of medical care women receive from the doctors we are supposed to trust. Women deserve better.
Honestly, it’s like people who blame guns for gun violence.
The person who had the power is to blame. Whether you’re pro-life or pro-choice or pro-abortion, you have no power in what the doctor decides to do, so how can you be held responsible? The doctor is supposed to do their damn job and help the patient even if it is to confirm that it is nothing.
In this case, by blaming pro-life crowd for the doctor deciding not to help the woman who had bleeding is them saying “look at how much trouble being pregnant is and it would better if no one ever got pregnant” which is not only insensitive and insulting, it just reinforces how stupid and nonsensical blaming pro-life crowd when the real problem is that we are putting lazy jerks in medical field. Would people still not be blaming the doctor if the patient suspected she had cancer and it turned out, she did, but it wasn’t caught by the doctor because they were too much a bum to do their job? In fact, this actually happened right here where I live. A lady was scared that a lump in her breast would wind up becoming cancerous because it was growing and instead of helping her, the medical staff turned her away and told her to come back when the growth became bigger and malignant. In other words, they asked her to come back when she actually had cancer in the dangerous stage instead of just removing the damn lump before it starts poisoning her!
PS: This also reinforces why I’m pro-life; because abortion is not end all be all solution to unwanted or rough pregnancies nor does it address the much deeper problems behind pregnancy in our society in general. In this case, we have a lot of doctors out there who are dangerously lazy when it comes to doing their damn jobs. People have DIED because of laziness of these doctors and not just because of pregnancy complications, but because of all kinds of reasons that could have been prevented. It is NOT ok that we have lazy doctors! And a word of warning to people; a doctor who has it in them to risk leaving a person as vulnerable as a pregnant woman to die will leave anyone to die including YOU.

fun fact about character development by the way. you can make them develop worse.
like I mean this very seriously as writing advice. the character should experience events and make decisions that make them different at the end of the story. they should be changed. they do not have to be improved.
they can get worse. they can make decisions of an increasingly terrible nature. they can stop taking risks on kindness. they can discover how much they can get away with. they can find religion, or abandon it, with negative effects on their moral creed. the character has to develop. the character does not have to grow.

its so annoying seeing other black ppl parrot this stuff no tf we dont u r literally copy and pasting slavery propaganda 😭 stfuuuuu
honestly phineas and ferb is so funny bc like. okay it's an episodic comedy whose core is just how much the characters love each other, you wouldn't expect angst writers to get a whole lot of out of that. like the first episode does clarify that perry can never reveal his personality or sapience to his family or else he will be forcibly removed from them but that's just setup for jokes, right? oh but then towards the end of the season they also drop "hey if candace succeeds in busting her brothers, they get sent to a military camp where all the creativity is literally tortured out of them." and you're like. ah. but also that was just a nightmare sequence, right? second season is like "don't worry! we will also clarify that busting phineas and ferb will result in a complete dystopia. also if perry fails to stop doofenshmirtz's wacky plots even one (1) time he becomes a truly evil supreme dictator. also one of the candaces literally disappears from the timeline but that's just a joke" and you're like. okay? you start thinking about how unfair this all is from candace's POV and while you're doing that they're like "oh here's our big movie btw! this is another alternate timeline where doofenshmirtz is running a despotism, we are going to focus on how this mentally affected all the funny main characters. also perry was forcibly roboticized. oh and our first dimension characters are almost fed to a monster over a pit of lava and also phineas is having a crashout over the perry b-plot" and you're like wait and then they release the pharmacists
