âIâd have to deal with a very miserable best friend if this game was real.â giving up the ability to read would really be devastating for both of them, thatâs for sure. âOh yeah, Iâm the same way. I donât like silence. Never have.â he shook his head. Niklaus was the type of person that needed noise in the background, at all times. Even when he was sleeping. Having the fan on certainly helped a lot. âThatâs true though, you talk a lot. A nice little break from that constant chatter might be nice.â the blond teased jokingly, finishing off his beer and setting it down with his other empty bottle. âJust kidding. You know I enjoy a chatterbox best friend.â He smiled as she shifted on the floor to get more comfortable. Niklaus might have worked today, but he knew that Allisonâs job was a lot more exhausting than his was. âYou okay down there? Need a massage?â he playfully tapped his hand over her legs as she set them down over his lap. âI wouldnât say theyâre scaryâŚjust probably wouldnât want other people reading my mind. Just like I wouldnât wanna read other peopleâs minds. What if I read your mind and found out that you actually secretly hate me huh? That would suck so bad.â he teased.
âAh, you know me, Iâd try to make the best of it,â she mused, a half smile forming on her face. âAt least I would have been able to read at some point, and would have the memory of it.â She shrugged lightly. Chuckling softly, she looked over at him. âI can be silent,â she insisted playfully, pursing her lips a bit and softly smacking his arm at his statement. âYouâd miss my talking too much, however.â Waiting a beat, she nodded her head and pointed at him when he said he enjoyed her being a chatterbox. âSee. Youâd miss it.â
âA massage would be nice,â she responded after smiling when he tapped her legs, getting up from the floor and lying down on the couch on her stomach so he could massage her back. âThe tension is near my neck and a bit lower,â she told him, setting her beer down on the floor. Hopefully Niklaus didnât accidentally kick it over. âMm,â she murmured in acknowledgement and agreement. Her own thoughts could be scary occasionally, but mostly they werenât. Allison did, however, suffer from Bipolar II Disorder, but didnât let a lot of people know that. Even Nik didnât know. Her getting approximately four hours of sleep at night, cleaning and being full of energy, that was more than just her personality. Laughing softly, Allison lay her head to the side and rested it against the couch. âIâm letting someone I hate rub my back, youâre completely right,â she teased, biting down on her lip softly as she smiled. âTell me some of your thoughts,â she challenged, looking up at him as much as she could in her position. âYouâve kind of got this mysterious vibe about you. I want to probe your mind. Iâm apparently very creepy.â She smirked humorously.Â
âHow was work?â she asked after a beat, off-topic.Â
