“Life Together” was a difficult prompt for me, I had a lot of ideas but realized that this just made the most sense. What if they were old together, what if neither of them died and they got to be old? (Miranda's got cool old lady style but Roland loses all sense of fashion after he abdicates, 20 years before this picture was taken).
Cutting a wedding cake with a sword is very royal and very romantic.
This is one of my OCs!
Fioletta [FEE-o-let-ta] (She/her) is a mischievous yet clever creature of unknown species (though she herself claims to be a Unicorn, it is unclear whether she says this in jest or earnest), she was discovered deep in the forest by a wizard and then insisted on being that wizard’s familiar.
Her candle horn is a part of her body that harmlessly burns on her head and burns even brighter when she is excited. It goes out when she's asleep or when she is swimming. In the water her porpoise like tail lets her swim faster then a speeding raft. She seems to be connected to both fire and water magic but seeing her perform any noticeable spells in the first place is a rare event.

I wanted to draw them in their new outfits, and I also wanted to draw them kissing again, so I did both.

Happy Pride Month!
Happy Royal Magic release everyone!
(I meant to post this before the first episode but since it hasn't been released in a majority of regions yet, technically this still counts as pre-release art for a lot of people).
Part two of my take on a My Little Pony X Sofia the First AU.
It's Princess Amber, Prince Jasper, and Princess Sonrisa!
(Specific thoughts about the three of them in the alternate universe under the cut)
Two-tailed mermaid Zane because it is Mermay. (Perhaps siren would be a better word to describe him though).
Mermaid Camila because it is Mermay.

It's King Royalland and Queen Herradora!
how do you picture queen Lorelei sounding like, for some reason I picture her sounding like Kristin chenoweth
Okay I can see why you would imagine that. A short queen bee type voice; that's a good option if you are going for an American accent for her. Personally, I've always seen her with a Newfoundland accent. Mostly because nearly everyone in Enchancia has an American accent, so I want her voice to be different. Also thinking that she comes from some kind of Kingdom that has fishing villages and maybe one side of her family is peasants rather than royalty and that's how she got that kind of accent is a fun headcanon for me. I have a friend who has a headcanon for her having a Scottish accent and that would be my second choice though.
Also if you don't know what a Newfoundland accent sounds like here's a good example: (I don't think her personality would be quite this feisty at least in my headcanons, but it would be funny)
Miss Nettle but I tried to draw her in her possible new outfit from the Sofia the First Royal Magic teaser trailer.
I finally drew Miranda and Roland in their stained-glass window outfits! I meant to post this on Valentine's Day but today will have to do.
The pose is based on The End of the Song (1902) by Edmund Blair Leighton.

I drew the new characters from Sofia the First Royal Magic! This may not be what they look like when the show comes out but I wanted to draw them anyway.
Sofia the First: Royal Magic will feel like a less mature and younger show compared to the original. Creator Craig Gerber has said that this is because of an intense pressure from Disney higher ups to do so, and if the show does poorly it will be canceled, rather than return to its previous level of maturity.
No one is happy about this.
Even if Royal Magic has a younger audience in mind in its creation than the OG, everyone on the crew has worked their butts off to make this series as enjoyable as possible for viewers of all ages. Yes, network does cut and revise stuff down the line, but that can't be helped, especially for a junior show. But the heart and passion all of us have put into this show is still there and I think fans both old and new will find something to love with our show from to wonderful music, to the charming new characters, and just to all the beautiful detail in the designs, props, and locations.
If fans want a chance for the show to return to its previous level of maturity, then watch it and give the new show some love. The more seasons a show gets, the greater chance networks will allow it try new things and grow.
I'm not saying every old fan will love this as much as the first, because it is two different productions, made nearly a decade apart with new kid generations in mind. But at least judge it on reasonable expectations.
