I’m going to have to figure out what I’m going to do to keep myself up tomorrow night. I need to pull an all nighter for that seizure test Thursday. I can’t drink caffeine after 6. I’ll probably have to plan a dedicated marathon. Plus it’s going to be very difficult bc tomorrow is going to be a long, long day. The neurosurgeon I’m seeing is two hours away and I know I’ll be exhausted afterwards

In other news, I saw a neurologist today and it went well. She spent over an hour listening to my symptoms and coming up with a plan. She admitted that we could’ve spent about an hour on each thing I said.

She thinks I have persistent concussive symptoms, so she’s sending me to see a tbi ophthalmologist. She is also sending me to get an EEG, which is Thursday, and I’m not looking forward to it. I have to stay up for 24 hours with no caffeine for the nighttime portion, then I go in and they’re going to strap me up with electrodes on my head and a heart monitor, then they’re going to try to induce a seizure, because she wonders if my near fainting episodes are a type of seizure. Even if they’re not, she wants me to try to induce one of my episodes that day with the electrodes and heart monitor.

Also, she is sending me to some kind of therapy. Not physical or occupational, but something else I can’t remember.

I am still seeing the Chiari specialist neurosurgeon tomorrow. I still think that my symptoms are from that, but I don’t mind doing this other stuff, if anything to just rule stuff out. I’ve already met my out of pocket max and deductible so whatever. Let’s do everything I guess!

And I really appreciated her listening to me and caring. It nearly made me cry. That other neurosurgeon did not care and offered nothing.

I have a new hen :) her name is brownie, and she’s an Easter egger who lays green eggs :)
