What nobody really tells you about war is how boring most of it is. The vast majority of it is sitting around and waiting– waiting for the air raid siren to go off, or waiting in line to get supplies, or waiting hunched over in a foxhole for someone to get blown up. And when it’s not boring– well. Everyone’s heard about that part already. Rabbit kicks the Spine’s shin. “We coulda been doin’ Irving Berlin, Spine.” When an unexpected touring theatre troupe interrupts their usual routine, a truth that Rabbit has done her best to ignore ends up surfacing anyways.
