Hello, everyone! I have no idea how active this blog’s followers still are, but I was looking back through my posts here last night and figured I’d check back in and give an update on what I’ve been up to.

First off, I haven’t been consistently into Welcome To Night Vale in well over two years. That’s unfortunate, since I still really love the idea of the show, but I just haven’t been able to get myself to listen to it. However, in the meantime, I’ve been into other things! If you like D&D, The Adventure Zone, Steven Universe, or outer space, I encourage you to check out my primary art blog, @anglerfish!

Secondly, I’m in college now! I’m studying graphic design, which I love, and this fall I’ll be starting my minor in creative writing. This summer I’m working for my old pottery studio at their summer camp for kids. It’s a super rewarding job, plus I get to use the studio to make my own work.

Thirdly, and this feels kind of silly to say, but I’m sure some of you remember asking me for art of particular WTNV characters, and me having to break it to you that I couldn’t draw people… well, good news! I can very comfortably draw people now, as you can see on my primary art blog. If anybody wants to help me out a little with college and get some art of your favourite characters in return, I’m taking commissions!

Fourthly, if commissions aren’t your thing or you just want shirts with art on them, I also have a Redbubble!

as you might’ve noticed, i haven’t been active on this blog since “through the narrow place,” which was… october.  oops.

a good eight months later, here i am again

listening to wtnv takes a particular state of mind for me and frankly i just haven’t really had that since october.  (i kept up through “lost in the mail,” but obviously i didn’t manage to produce anything from those episodes.)

the only reason i’m here again now, actually, is that the other night i had the urge to listen again, so for personal reasons i’m starting back from “old oak doors” and hopefully after finals are over for me i’ll be able to catch up fairly quickly.

no worries! i just listened to the first episode and really enjoyed it.

i wish things could have gone differently, obviously.  that is, obviously, what i wish.  but they didn’t.

this blog recently hit 2000 followers and that’s an awful lot more than i ever thought i would get, to be honest! as someone whose personal blog has been stuck in the 100-300 follower range for quite a while now, it’s kind of hard to believe how far this blog has come in just a year.  (as well as my artistic abilities– having this to keep up with has made it possible to develop even in areas beyond pixel art.)

anyway, happy anniversary! i’m excited to be here and i hope you’re all enjoying my art
