Hooray...?

I know I disappear more than I should, but this time there was a crazy, stupid medical reason I wasn't online.

And that reason is...

I HAD TO HAVE KNEE SURGERY!

My worst fear in this world, other than my loved ones dying, is surgery. I have a clotting disorder. My body doesn't make enough factor 8, which basically means I could bleed to death from things other people could just bandage, maybe get some stiches and walk away from. So, I was terrified. But it had to happen or I would never be able to use my left knee properly for the rest of my life and other bad things.

I made it through surgery okay, still had to have a transfusion and lots of weird IVs and spent around a grand total of a week and a half in the hospital, but my knee should be healthy again after it heals and with lots of physical therapy.

Unfortunately, while in hospital, I went into anaphylactic shock due to an allergic reaction to a drug they gave me to settle the nausea from the cocktail of other drugs. And that wasn't fun, they had to sedate me and put a tube in my trachea because the epi didn't work fast enough. But if you have to stop breathing, the hospital is the place to do it.

Anyway TL;DR - short version is I was in the hospital, then laid up in bed and traumatized during my break from the internet. I'm feeling much better, I don't want anyone to worry or anything. Love you all and hope the holiday season is going well.
