Pagani, in comparison with brands like Ferrari or Lamborghini, can neither look back on great successes in motor sports nor on a long tradition. Horacio was founded in 1992 by the Argentinean Horacio Pagani, who was previously head of the Composite Materials Department at Lamborghini. 🧑🏼🔧 Already in 1988 he had founded the company Pagani Composite Research, which worked closely with Lamborghini on numerous projects. For example in the redesign of the Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition, the Lamborghini LM002, the P140 design concept and the Diablo. 😈 At the end of the 1980s, Pagani began to design his own car, which was then called the "C8 project". Pagani planned to rename the C8 "Fangio F1" in honor of his friend, five-time Argentinean Formula 1 champion Juan Manuel Fangio. 🏁 In 1991 Pagani Modena Design was founded to meet the growing demand for its design, engineering and prototyping services. In 1992 he started building a Fangio F1 prototype and in 1993 the car was tested in the Dallara wind tunnel with positive results. 👌🏻 In 1994 Mercedes-Benz agreed to supply Pagani with V12 engines. The total cost for these cars was 2.3 million dollars. 💰 The last car was named Zonda C12, the first of the Zonda line (the name Fangio F1 was removed out of respect for Fangio, who died in 1995). Although I had absolutely no idea of the importace of traction, fast corners or powerful engines in the back at that time, I still realized that the car must mean something special to my dad and so it did to me soon, too! 👌🏻 Years went by and I became such a die hard Porsche fan, that friends started calling me "The Porscheist", because when ever any 911 crossed my way I was immediate able to name the model, the engine figures as well as any other specific data about the car. // Part 2 I even was freak enough to start an online community called "911.LegendsNeverDie" on Social Media which turned out to be of the best known porsche platforms for fans today! Because that strange passion for Porsches, also connected me and my dad in a certain way. 😉 It was our own common hobby. Over the years my father and i collected countless magazines, magazines and books about the Porsche 911. We collected literally anything we could find about Porsche and the 911 in particular, but we never owned one. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Than, a few years ago my dad turned 59 and he didn't feel that well. He had some seriouse concerns about health. So on a long walk we took together on a cold saturday afternoon in December, I told him to make his dream come true now. I convinced him, that it was finally time to get a 911. 😍 My father was always very anxious that everyone else was fine, except himself. So buying a 911 should be something he did for himself only. A gift only for pleasure! Tipo 33 is the name of a series of prototype sports cars built for racing purposes by the Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo in its motor sports department Autodelta between 1967 and 1977. During these years a wide variety of versions of the Tipo 33 were produced! 😎👌🏻 © Photos: @we.shoot.it / Text: @lnd.magazine ARTICLE: The mid-engine concept was common to all Tipo 33, but the engines, the bodywork and also the wheelbases could vary. The designation "33" was taken up again by Alfa Romeo in 1983 for the Alfa Romeo 33 compact sedan, which was produced in large series and replaced the Alfasud. 🇮🇹 In order to make racing technology accessible to the public, the Tipo 33 Stradale, suitable for road traffic, was also launched at the 1967 Turin Motor Show. Franco Scaglione designed the 230 HP vehicle, which was built by Marazzi. A special design element is the otherwise rare butterfly doors. 🏁 The car was very powerful. With a total weight of 700 kg, the Stradale accelerated to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. The advertisement said about the car: "A superficially domesticated racing car with road registration". The sales price was extremely high, which was one of the reasons why only a few were sold until 1969.💰 The production volume is unclear. In most cases it is assumed that a total of 18 chassis were provided for the Stradale project. However, a maximum of 12 of them received the Scaglione body. Eight scaglione coupés are known today.
