I definitely would love to put out an LP! Right now the plan is to release singles for the next several months along with additional content ( music videos, acoustic versions, vlogs, etc) , release 7Chariot’s debut EP, and then begin writing/recording the album. Absolutely! I would LOVE to work on music for film, and definitely have every intention of doing so whenever the right project comes my way. Still waiting for that day to come, but when it does you will know about it haha

This is an awesome question! Not sure if I ever mentioned it prior to starting this new project, but my great grandmother was actually an acclaimed psychic named Greta Alexander. She died shortly after I was born, but I was told she was an incredible woman. Greta read for Debbie Reynolds, and later for her daughter Carrie Fisher, predicting her success in the Star Wars films. Because of this, my family is deeply spiritual and has always been highly intuitive. My grandmother specifically is very gifted at reading tarot cards, and has done regular readings for me since the 7th grade. When I left my record deal, I asked her to pull cards for me to help guide me in the right direction. When we asked the cards if changing my name might be a good start, the final card in the reading was a major arcana card called The Chariot.The number associated with the card is 7, which is also my birth month. The Chariot from a symbolic perspective is so representative of what I want to do with my career in music, and I couldn’t think of anything more fitting!  

While I am still very proud of the music I made under Clairity, as I grew older I realized that the project was no longer reflective of who I am as both a young woman and an artist. I signed to Lava records at 17 during a time when I had a committee of people constantly chattering away, telling me what I should and shouldn’t do. Unfortunately, the old project and the name itself seemed a little haunted as I felt they were almost inextricably linked to those difficult and stressful experiences. The new name 7Chariot is sort of a gift; It’s a beacon I created for myself so I could begin to reignite my love for music, and start to trust my own artistic choices again. After I left my label, I felt like people thought I was an idiot for passing up the prospect of conventional success through a corporate approach to music, a chance of fame, etc.. But it was a very hard decision that I made for my overall health and mental well-being. Without getting too weighed down by the past, I hope this little back story answered your question! I am SO SO fucking excited to embark on this new chapter of my career. I have so much awesome music to share, and I appreciate you supporting me through the ups and downs of this crazy industry. xo
