Daryl, biting the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing: Okay.

Daryl, making sure to walk ahead of her so he wasn’t forced to smell it: So—shitty day, huh?

Imagine the plot of Overboard being used for a Daryl x Reader fic?? (One of my favorite movies btw)

The apocalypse happens, and spoiled rich Reader gets memory loss, and to make things worse, a man with a crossbow claims to be her husband. This is Season 1 Daryl we're talking about...

Crude, sassy, arm-swinging Daryl.

He probably lied just to make her life hell because little Miss too good for white trash like him insulted his whole bloodline before the outbreak.

"Married? To you?! Why would I be married to a redneck who smells like roadkill?!"

"Want a reminder, princess?" Grabs his crotch "Got it right here fer ya!"

Daryl would never take advantage of her like that, but he does make her carry and cook the animals he hunts, makes sure to humble her any chance he gets, mocking her for not knowing anything about survival. She couldn't even shoot an elephant with that aim, even if she tried.

The poor woman follows him through the woods with a raccoon slung over her shoulder while he lies about how much she supposedly loved giving him foot rubs in bed.

And sure, she wants to kill him while his back is turned, but then who would protect her from the walkers??

And then there's only bed...

And then they fall in love...

And then they have five kids...
