First off, I think both the drama and webtoon were good in their own rights. I loved both of them, I may have a slight bias towards the drama cuz I watched that first but I can understand why OG webtoon readers wouldn't like the drama cuz of how much change was done but I personally loved the way some things were shifted around.

Gray vs Sieun: in my mind, they're the same person but not. I love both versions, but I felt like Gray was more vicious whilst Sieun was more melancholic. Does that make sense? Also Gray is a big swearer compared to sieun 😭

Donald Na vs. Na Baekjin: omg I loved Donald, his character was soo cool. Had complicated feelings about him as well, similarly to the way I had about baekjin 😭. But again like Gray I felt like Donald was MUCH more scarier than Baekjin, he just has the mum stare at times ygm? Also, I found it very interesting to see the way the director approached and presented Baekjin's character, in contrast to the way he is in the webtoon. The way in the webtoon Donald takes control by making himself more 'scarier' by altering his appearance so that ppl are intimidated by him whilst baekjin takes control by having everything in order and neat.

Bryce Oh vs Oh Beomseok: I HATED BRYCE OMG. they humanised him in the drama and gave him actual 'reasoning' (if u can call it that) behind his actions, which I personally did like cuz complex characters are always welcome, WHILST bryce was just a Grad A asshole. Yh so that is one change i liked, the fact that we seen their friendship b4 it all went to shit which is why beomseok's actions hurt sieun and us more. (* read: the director/writers of the drama have mastered emotional manipulation)

Stephen Ahn vs. Ahn Suho: Suho's character was very different to his webtoon part, apart from maybe the like fierceness and values Stephen had, suho was nothing like him

Eugene Gale vs. Seo Juntae: loved both characters, although I do feel they turned him into this cuddly, sweet character rather than keep some of Eugene's original personality, eg, how he would collect data from the Shuttle Patch AND! talking about that idky they didn't keep that in (unless they did, cuz I can't remember, if they did ignore this) it would've been so cool. But I do like how they kept the part of him were despite him knowing he's not a strong fighter he still doesn't give up or throw the chance to try and help his friends.

suhosieun in the drama vs webtoon: PERSONALLY, I wasn't as hurt/impacted by the shse story in the webtoon as I was in the drama and I feel like that was cuz again the drama kinda shifted from the og storyline and we were able to actually see more of shse and how their relationship develops so we attach ourselves to them. In the webtoon we didn't get much, but the much we did get you could still tell how much Stephen meant to Gray however kdrama shse will forever have my heart 🫶 (but the little tidbits we got in the webtoon made me sigh😭)

Baukogotak: WHERE DO I EVEN START?!? I LOVE THEM SOOO MUCHH. I was so surprised and glad with how much bakugotak we got in the webtoon, I wonder if the director/writers got inspiration from webtoon bakugotak to form the dynamics of drama shse, cuz it's very similar. I wish they had added more of bakugotak in the drama tho, SO much potentional.

The casting for the s2 characters was done SO WELL, apart from maybe baekjin cuz yk no tattoos and shit but artistic liberties 🤷‍♀️ (did i use that right?) And after reading Weak Hero I can properly appreciate that, like Lee Minjae is QUITE LITERALLY Gotak/Alex (also can we appreciate how much he suits the name alex) , he suits him soooo well. Also, talking of Gotak<3 i WISH, they kept his scar, even if it wasn't a big one, but like even a knick would've been cool. Lee Junyoung played Wolf SOO well, like crazy well. He perfectly encapsulated Wolf's loose screws. And Ryeon, what can I even say. We all know how gr8 of an actor he is but he played Baku SO well, the way he could switch from goofy, chill Baku to serious Baku is just satisfying, all the actors did well but these 3 and their characters stuck out to me.

There were soooo many cool characters and ik fans must have been disappointed not to see like more than half of them but i feel like too many cooks spoil the broth, because there were so many strong personalities it would've made things messy especially considering the fact that drama was really short, if it was a proper 16-20, 1 hour long drama then maybe it would've been possible but I do they should've kept the core of the Union in the drama. Ik I sed too many cooks spoil the broth, but I LOVEDDD Gerard and Jake (+dean), they were sooo coool i loved them. Tho I think they merged Gerard's character into suho and gotak.

Also was the Mok-Ha duo the same guys from the drama?? Cuz what happened to their characters in the drama, they really diluted them. Also, Colton/Hyoman's character in the drama reminded me a bit of the seaweed head guy.
