Dear science side of tumblr: explain why the last piece of ice always sticks to the bottom of the glass

It depends on whether or not there is a dip on the bottom of said piece of ice. If there is then it is the same reasoning as to why a cup sticks to your face in you suck all the air out, or why an eraser sticks to your skin after you pinch it. It's like the air has been vacuumed out of the opening and this creates a suction.
