Enjoy the journey

Ahab and I had a sex date on Tuesday night.  Sex hasn’t been easy for us for months due to Ahab’s injury.  We’ve let things slide.  We’ve tried sex a time or two in recent weeks, but it’s been very low-key.  So on Sunday, I told him I wanted to have sex this week.  He agreed and we planned for Tuesday night since I had to work very late Monday.

I laughed a little when we made the date.  I know people schedule sex dates.  Sometimes that’s what you have to do.  It felt a little weird to me since we’ve always been more spontaneous with our sex life.  Yet, when Ahab kissed me and played with my nipples through my T-shirt, I felt my knees go a little weak.  He told me it would be something to look forward to.

What I didn’t expect was to come home to that evening was my cuffs, a flogger, the Hitachi, and njoy Eleven on the bed.  We ate dinner and watched a little TV, then we moved to the bedroom.  We played in a way that we haven’t in a long time.  It took me a little while to let go and let him take control.  I haven’t done that in so long.  Somehow, I managed.  I honestly can’t remember the last time I came like that.

Afterward, I lay in Ahab’s arms half incoherent while he held me to him and told me that he loved me.  I was in the space that made me forget everything.  I forgot that work is crazy and the next two weeks are going to be hell.  I let go of the stress and anxiety I’m feeling regarding wedding planning.  All that was left was us.  I was safe and cradled in his arms.  I was spent and used, but I was acutely aware that I was his.  That night, I slept like a log; an exhausted, used, and happy log.
