Okay so definitely at the start Vinnie was awkward around Allen- I mean you find out aliens are real will freak you out a bit, and Allie wasn't having the best time with their first time in a body experiencing everything ya know, and Vinnie isn't the most talkative person. However that kinda worked out because they would just sit in the room together, sometimes just lil snippets of conversation that made them get to know each other. That's kinda start of the story dynamic but the turning point of their relationship was when Vinnie took Allen to the clearing where he and his grandfather always used to go. It was where they both opened up and Allie got out of their shell.
And to answer your second question, they're very close, in my mind they're platonic soulmates, and I do base their relationship of some of my own friendships so I don't really know how to characterise it. Allie is a chatterbox and Vinnies more calm so it usually is 'one talks& one listens', and they both like to share random snippets about the world that they learned to each other (Allie really enjoys that)

I haven't drawn these fellas in a while- and I had a bit of an art block- so I decided to draw them again yippee! However, I do have a lil bit of a bigger project with my OCs that I have started today, so that's great for me (and will give me something to do over the holidays :D)
However, since it's artfight season next week, I probably won't post for a while cuz I'll be drawing over there- but like who knows, maybe I'll find some time for my ocs

It just randomly started raining today and I was like 'hmm why not let that decide my drawings instead of sitting art blocked for hours' so I drew Allie and Vinnie in the rain! Allen really likes the rain, Vinnie... well you can see that he doesn't like getting wet lol

Yippididee I'm actually pretty proud of this!! I did this as a doodle but then really wanted to colour it but it was on lined paper, so I decided to go digital (tho my tablet tweaked out half way through and all the colours went muted so I hope it doesn't look that bad for you guys)
It's just a thing I was thinking about, Vinnie's younger school self (yeahhh I really suck at making the characters look like themselves if it's a different hairstyle or something lol), and now one of his friends has an actual design yayy

I usually reallyyy like animals, but there's something about cows that scares me (apology any cow lovers I do like them they just scare me when I see them irl) and my dad is a freaking cow whisperer so whenever we go out in fields and there's cows in nearby fields they freaking come to him like magnets- and so I was like hmm why not characterise that lol
And because it's basically like me, Vinnie has no actual reason to be scared of them, no bad experiences, but like some people don't like spiders, he doesn't like cows!

my oc Claira tends to feel like a joke. Sure, she’s a hero who travels to other dimensions to protect the residents there, but outer worlds are highly dangerous, full of entities much more powerful and often bigger than her. Claira can fight and fight well, but she has had many a close call where she’s had to drag herself away from the fight and she’s been following through with her destiny for only a few years.
She’s probably in way over her head. It’s one multiverse traveler against millions of worlds, all very different from her and full of people who will likely fear what they don’t understand. Worse yet, she often has no one to help her…would anyone save her if she was in danger? Would anyone care?

Allie could actually understand quite a few animal languages on earth when he first arrived- because he adapted from the earth he's not just adapted to humans. Eventually it fizzled out because he didn't use them, but he still often has late night conversation with The Majesty (their cat) and later on with the cows they always pass on walks (they're all like best friends, which sucks for Vinnie who is terrified of cows lol)

HII!! I haven't answered these here, and i have to say these are some fun questions thanks for asking!!!
Okay so I can definitely answer your 2nd and 3rd question, but the first one ngl I haven't thought about too much. Now that's not to say he doesn't have any powers, they definitely do, I just haven't thought about and decided on what. Sorry for not being able to answer, but this means I will definitely ponder it more in the next few days :D
Now second one, I'll try and explain it the best as I can.
Allen's kind are from space, but while their time there, they're basically part of a hive mind, their own being are few celled organisms part of a larger group. Then they kinda 'eat' the space matter and grow (idk how to explain this, there is no scientific explanation lol I am using imaginationnn) as they do they split away from the main group and float around in space.
Their being gets drawn to planets and then they also absorb the planet's matter and start to change to adapt to live there. Its unknown why Allie looks the way he does on Earth, why he's not fully like one of the species living here (Vinnie thinks its because there are too many species on earth, Allie's body kinda had a 'malfunction', their species so used to planets with not a lot of organisms and didn't know how to look)
So to answer your last question, Allie doesn't really have a 'home' in space, and it's all fuzzy, it's definitely more feelings than actual memories.
Ik you've seen my drawings of Allie, he's a cheerful, curious lil guy, and he loves being on Earth and learning human things and he has Vinnie and others. He is happy and comfortable here, but obviously the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows. He struggles with homesickness A LOT, because he used to be a part of a hivemind, and now being completely apart, there always seems to be a loneliness in him.
