Remember that everyone's "journey" is a bit different so use her as a tool to help you find what resonates & works for you rather than take her words as absolute instructions. Hello! It's been a while since my last remix. I felt spontaneously inspired to make this based on my most favourite 4dbarbie asks. This one's a bit different as this time I got help from AI so they did a lot of the legwork and I made edits as I saw fit, it definitely cut down on the amount of time it takes to make a remix! I asked them to write it in a conversational tone like a friendly guru talking to me so some of the wording has been changed (which can sometimes be helpful in understanding the message in a new way) so it's not entirely 4dbarbie's words verbatim but the message remains the same (feel free to check out the source texts if you wish!). Hope you enjoy!

You see, I didn’t fake being unaffected. I simply allowed things to happen to “me”. Painful, pleasant, it didn’t matter. I didn’t try to change anything. I let go of the exhausting loop of desire and fear, like finally putting down a heavy load. The emotions still came, but I didn’t involve myself with them. Drop the false ideas first and watch. After what keeps you stuck goes, you can do whatever you want. You can think the ugliest thoughts and nothing will happen if you know yourself as who you are. It's your identification with the thought that causes the thought to be true. 1
The guilt is because you think you're running out of time and you need to change "your" life now. Be patient with yourself because you don't lose any time, just get to that place I'm telling you about and then you can just go back in time if you so wish. All worry is pointless! And there is nothing to fear, things just happen, do not claim them as yours for a while. Unclutter your mind, it becomes your servant after you've freed it enough. 2
All you need is to get rid of the tendency to define your self. All definitions apply to your body only and to its expressions. Once this obsession with the body goes, you will revert to your natural state, spontaneously and effortlessly. 3
I revamped my first two 4dbarbie remixes (How to realise Self and How to let go of Vanessa) with the prettier highlight colours instead of the default tumblr colours and also added better highlights across the text (separated into pink for main highlights and purple for 'action' points as it was just all default purple before). I also changed the banner cos it's prettier so now the format styling is consistent across all my 4dbarbie adaptation posts.
The actual text hasn't changed but it's prettier and more fun to look at/read if anyone wants to re-read it as a refresher :D

Dāsbodh, loosely meaning "advice to the disciple" in Marathi, is a 17th century bhakti (devotion) and jnana (insight) spiritual text. It was orally narrated by the saint Samarth Ramdas to his disciple, Kalyan Swami. The Dāsbodh provides readers with spiritual guidance on matters such as devotion and acquiring knowledge. Each and every moment is projected on your consciousness but in reality, there is no link or cause between them. Memory gives the illusion of continuity and repetitiveness creates the idea of causality (e.g. I have blue eyes because I take after my mom). When things repeatedly happen together, we tend to see a causal link between them. It creates a mental habit, but a habit is not a necessity.* Drop it. You, now, even if recreated completely from memory and appearing the same, are still doing the creating/projecting live. It is all memory carried over into the now. You never move, your mind does. You don't arrive anywhere, you've always been there. You don't become, you already are. 1
Memory seems to being things to the present out of the past, but all that happens does happen in the present only. It is only in the now that phenomena manifest themselves. Thus, time and causality do not apply in reality. You are prior to the world, body and mind. You are the sphere in which they appear and disappear. You recreate the world every day from memory. There is no yesterday but your memory of it. There is no tomorrow but your thought of it. You already are, and if you want to observe yourself as 'something', you can. After you rid yourself of your belief that you are the ego, you no longer feel compelled in any direction whatsoever. You do not feel like you need to be the body you imagine you were born with (because you were never it in the first place), or watch Sandra's from afar. You’re free to do or not to do whatever you want; you are dreaming, and you know you are dreaming, there is nothing to fear or fight, because all is yours. Free from memory and expectation, you are fresh, innocent and wholehearted. Needing nothing, you are unafraid. Whom to be afraid of? There is no separation, we are not separate selves. There is only one Self, your Self. 1*

Imagination is a faculty of the mind. You are beyond the mind. Mind and body become your servants once you discover your Self.
The present moment is all that is, so become aware of having never been the ego, of your ego being just one of your creations. Ego is the concept of individuality, of separation from the "I", and the All. Therefore ego is a false assumption. We are really the Supreme Reality, we are not separate from It.
To "fix" the separation, reject what you are not. Only look at who you are, over and over and over until it becomes the permanent identification and replaces the ego.
Your character has no free will. All happens because it happens, you (the person) can't control it. You might argue you do because you chose what to eat this morning, but these little decisions mean nothing - if the ingredients weren't in your fridge, you wouldn't have had the choice either. The waking state is no different from dreams, first you need courage to start, then you gain confidence in what you find. Let all happen to you, try to control nothing, stop fighting the dream - just let go of your fear. Detach.
You are here again because you wanted to experience everything, this is the lifetime in which it happens. Only you have to give up thinking you are the body. Then the mind and its thoughts, because you aren't those either.
I know there are obligations, but start asking yourself questions until you stop believing in anything but your being, after all, that is the only thing you know for certain. You think you are this little speck, but it is the opposite, all the specks are because you are. Your mother is you, your father is you, I am you and your body is you, and so is the world - you are the whole of the dream.
Sooner or later, you will arrive at the same conclusion. You can't stop being what you are (Self), all else can stop existing, but you can't. The only thing you have a choice in is delaying seeing it by thinking you are this or that. Only by letting go of all do you gain everything. Only see it, then you can imagine whatever you want and it will be.

I created a separate blog to save all the various ND experiences and anon submissions of their epiphanies etc, it's sort of evolved on its own now and it feels almost wrong to keep posting in 4dbarbie's archive (where I'd rather it stick to her original content plus any adaptations like the remixes/highlights/interviews) even though a lot of the anons are learning under her content.
I will also save stories/submissions from other blogs so long they're ND-related and helpful/insightful! And I don't even want to call them success stories anymore (cos I feel that can be a loaded term to the ego lol), more just experience sharing. I haven't thought that much on how to categorise the stories but for now it will be either understanding or applied experience (it will probably evolve over time).
The blog will also be taking journal submissions of non-dualism in practice so if you have something you want to share about your understanding or applied experience, feel free to do so there!
So I saw this and decided to give it a try too on a fun example 😂 I woke up and my cat always walks away when I go to greet her in the morning and usually I'm like awww 🥲 but this time I imagined myself as my cat and thought about how much I loved Vanessa and wanted to snuggle with her lotsss. After getting into that knowing feeling, I let it go and forgot about it. Until now (like an hour later), when I'm trying to meditate and my cat is suddenly super loving on me and sitting on my lap which she hasn't done in ages 😂 I was almost about to think it didn't work at first, cos right after I imagined and returned back to being Vanessa, my cat was going about her business as usual ignoring me lol. But I just ignored all that (both thoughts and the dream) and decided to let it go and not think about it anymore. I think that's key. Also not taking it seriously helps with letting go (it's all just a dream so do whatever and have fun, right?). But like help, I need to pee rn but I don't want to disturb her (I think she plans on napping on my lap) and I also don't want to undo her loving on me 🫠

The way you demonstrated this you can demonstrate everything.
This ask made me realize where some of you go wrong,
I think you put a lot of pressure on your egos and what you think "you" can do; if doubts come it's because you identify with ego again and looking for it to happen,
You treat it like: You (ego) did something and now you're waiting for the fruits of your labour.
When, in reality, the thing already happened and ego can do nothing to further aid or stop it.
The moment you imagine, REALLY is.
The delay, even as little as in this anon's case, is only because you still consider ego in some way when doing things.
You (as you are in reality) materializes everything instantly ALREADY.
To (uncalledly for) explain to this anon too why it happened when it did: the moment they fully surrendered/gave up ego, it "manifested". Their attitude of "what's done is done", their indifference toward results, their lack of expectations and the acceptance of what IS. You cannot feel anything *but* all these things when you know who you are, thus letting your Self do what it already effortlessly does.
Everything would be instant if you stopped trying to work with ego.
To add on, Self has no preference and knows it's all just a play of consciousness so knows there's no need to take anything seriously (that's all ego being too caught up in the drama of the play). It's when the ego holds on to outcomes, expectations and hopes that causes resistance. The more tightly the ego grasps on, the more things just seem to work against it lol. That's why letting go and surrendering is so key, you're letting go of ego and letting Self be.
Also, it goes to show that you don't need to be permanently realized as Self in order to demonstrate; whenever you let go of ego and all falsity, you already are being Self in that moment (because you always are, it's just all of I AM's imaginary creations of lack and limitation that cover its Beingness into falsely believing it is a person/human/ego in a (dream) world)! Just keep letting go more and more and return back to that state over and over and over until you only identify as Self.
It also reminds me of this account I read of someone's life after they realised themselves, they couldn't take anything seriously (😆) and this caused others in their life to take issue with this like work, partner etc (but I don't think that person was aware that they could just decide to materialise a different life where there were no problems either way they wouldn't have preference anyway) and they'd have to "step back" into their ego in order to be part of the play again but once you truly see who you are and that everything is a dream, it's hard to take anything seriously 😅
