As you know there has been a total of 7 students brought into STYX after the incident of Malleus Draconia’s Overblot you have been assigned as the main interviewer!

Your job is to ask the students questions and keep track of their mental state! If you have questions for any students not currently on the island of WoE you may ask them to Ortho and he can relay them to the students if you think a student has recovered you can send them back to NRC and if you think a student is slipping into insanity then you may request to bring them to STYX. The way to fix the Twst timeline!!!!

If you’re confused as to what I mean it’s simple! There are a few plot holes that are mostly present in book 2 of Twisted wonderland that irk me that I wanted to fix! So I figured out a way to shift things around to make the timeline make more sense ;) and I’ll explain it here

Riddle’s Overblot stays exactly the same it takes place within the first month of school since it doesn’t have anything really inconsistent about it.

Azul’s Overblot would be next and the reason why is because it simply makes more sense thematically to work your way up the scale of power for the Overblot and I’ll explain Leona’s Overblot in detail later. For Azul’s instead of the midterms the students could be studying for quarter tests seeing as in this timeline his Overblot would be sometime in October. While Quarter tests are as intimidating as Midterms I’m sure someone like Azul could still convince people to sign deals with him for his study guides. And the idea of Riddle learning of Azul’s schemes and helping us stop Azul is a good way to highlight their almost rivalry/friendship that we get to touch on more in book 6. As for the contracts I think Trey could overwrite them changing them to a form that could be destroyed.

Jamil’s Overblot would take place sometime late November with the break being similar to one for thanksgiving of course I assume it would be called something different but I’d like to keep the aspect of people going home to spend time with their families. Scarabia could still be forced to stay based on quarter tests seeing grades and the excuse of Kalim being harsh and tyrannical could make more sense if he’s seemingly whipping the student into shape for the Midterms. Jamil could still keep the parallel to Riddle’s Overblot and I imagine everything playing out in a similar manner to how it does in book 4 after that.

Vil’s Overblot doesn’t change much in comparison mostly it changes due to timing instead of winter just ending the VDC would happen late December early January since we know the Twst characters don’t have Christmas the winter break would play a bit of a difficult part but I manage the VDC crew stays over the break working harder then ever under Vil’s eyes unlike the actual VDC competition it would take place inside the school and the way other people would avoid Vil’s Overblot is by it taking place within the gym it should be a room generally easy to keep others out of and can lead to a more interesting fight as school gyms typically have lights or vents on the ceiling either Vil or the guys could use.

Now here’s where some of the major changes come as this is where Idia’s Overblot would be within my timeline. STYX having heard four Overblot have occurred over the span of about 5 months are sent to check it out with Idia and Ortho being the only reason the students aren’t immediately kidnapped. Crowley is still taken through to pace judgment for his poor headmaster duties. The people who have Overblotted so far while mostly accepted by their own dorms again are still widely mistrusted by students. Seeing the way the students react and the way the school’s students act in general that’s why the Overbloter’s are kidnapped to see the effects that NRC has on the students minds if there’s something going on to cause all the Overblots. It just so happens that’s what Idia/Ortho’s parents leave so Idia is still in charge of the operation trying to make it quick to avoid the embarrassment of it all. I wouldn’t change the way Idia Overblots but I would change the teams that split up to stop him because Jamil would be alone otherwise. I imagine Rook would go with Jamil it would make the groups much more even and we haven’t seen many Rook/Jamil interactions. I haven’t exactly planned out if Idia being taken down would be changed but I do think Epel Yuu Rook and Vil would definitely struggle more as the former three fought an Overblot around 2 weeks ago and Vil did Overblot which we know heavily taxes the mages body. Vil would still save Idia and Grim from the Underworld but I imagine it has more consequences then simply becoming old while I liked the nod to the evil queen’s old form what I think could be a more interesting idea to temporarily explore is the burning away of Vil’s identity. What if after saving Idia and Grim Vil losses his magic and memories maybe aging slightly having to be told he’s a hero in a story he can’t remember it would be a tragic way for Vil to finally be the hero he wanted to be. As for the fixing Malleus does Riddle’s hair would be mostly restored the ends remaining white no matter what he does and Vil’s magic being restored with only his basic memories returning.

OK NOW AFTER THAT RANT ITS LEONA’S TURN! So the Spelldrive tournament now would take place in early April giving the whole of March for the pre Spelldrive shenanigans and prep. Ruggie would still injure various student but now we would know why he specifically targets who he does because we’ve seen how strong these characters are like Jamil and Riddle. FYI Trey is still hurt protecting Riddle. Yuu is still assigned to investigate the situation while without Cater the investigation goes slower they have Ortho this time as they want to help Yuu after all the trouble they caused them. Ace and Deuce at this point in the story are genuinely close to Yuu and help them even without the offer of possibly being on the spelldrive team and I imagine Epel would join to find out who’s being a cheater while Epel is cheeky I don’t see him being a fan of cheater especially in sports. Jack in this timeline would be slightly more willing to join the gang still not wanting to betray his dorm but as all the characters have honest intentions minus Yuu and Grim he’s willing to betray his dorm to do what’s right. With Jack’s help and Ortho’s deduction skills the figure out Leona is going to target Malleus on game day so the first year crew convince both Idia and Cater to have the last few STYX soldier’s there and Cater to make clones so that they can walk in place of any targeted member of Diasomnia during the ceremony. I am going to steal this part from the novel but the potion Ruggie drinks to boost his magic is from Azul in this timeline and instead of the blot going to Ruggie Leona makes a deal with Azul to transfer the Ruggie’s blot over to Leona. After finding out that their plan failed Leona still tried to kill Ruggie and then Overblots with no one to stall by sealing his magic. Epel and Jack have to see their idol go feral trying to turn everyone and everything to sand. With the STYX guards the fight goes much quicker but is still dangerous as everyone involved is prohibited from fighting due to extreme dehydration and Ruggie is under direct watch from Crewel as they are in serious condition.

You don’t have to worry about Ni-San! I’ve been keeping an eye on him to be safe since it hasn’t been long from our Overblot….. but He’s totally fine as of now unlike all the other that were around when Malleus Draconia Overblotted Ni-San is ok because he wasn’t there. Of course after our Overblot out parents have prepared a plan incase Ni-San falls to the insanity…. But that won’t happen! I’ve been watching over all the students and Ni-San is totally fine!!!

After Malleus’s Overblot the young fae felt. Lost. After all he lost both his mentor(father figure) and most of his magic. Malleus by all accounts could still use magic but it was no where near the level he used to be able to before now passing out anytime he attempts more intense spells.

Since Diasomnia was destroyed during his Overblot and Malleus really doesn’t want to go back their Malleus has taken to walking through the woods….. Lilia liked to do that saying it was good to appreciate nature and the small things in life….. Malleus since waking up has had to face many hard truths so these walks help him to clear his head.

While walking through the woods on campus Sebek catches up to him. Malleus has admittedly been avoiding the half fae knowing how much trouble he’s caused both him and Silver believing he at least owes them distance but Sebek as dedicated as ever still insists on staying by his side. But Malleus notices a slightly distressed look on Sebek’s face. Prompting the half fae to share his problems Sebek reluctantly admits his recent trouble with his memory and attention. Malleus wanting to earnestly help offers to cast a simple spell to help Sebek’s memory not knowing the consequences that would follow. Almost immediately after casting the Spell Sebek jerks back a dark glassy look taking over his normally bright sharp eyes as he collapses spewing out blot his body convulsing. Malleus catches the half fae not sure what’s happening as Ortho makes himself known asking Malleus all sorts of questions while the android scans Sebek trying to help him. Neither of them understand why Sebek is hurling Blot but once his body calms down they transport him to the infirmary….. Malleus doesn’t know what to say is this also his fault…? Did he hurt his closest companion again…? Is this his fate? To hurt those he loves?

Sebek for as dedicated as he is can’t for the life of him remember what happened after Malleus’s Overblot….. he remembered the event clearly. He remembered being put into a deep sleep and working with Yuu Silver Grim Ortho and Idia to wake everyone up and fight Malleus. But after that it’s all murky. Perhaps it’s because he was asleep so long? Yes that much be it! His mind wanders as he gets ready for the day classes have been canceled for the last few days but they are starting again soon and he needs to be ready! Sebek can’t remember why he’s staying at Ramshackle but he assumes it’s because Diasomnia was damaged during Malleus’s Overblot as the half fae goes down to find Yuu and Grim and a company then Yuu still looks at Sebek with so much empathy it almost hurts the half fae. Of course as always Sebek mistakes this empathy for pity and leaves without a word to go find Malleus….. but Yuu follows them begging him to talk about Lilia…… Lilia…? Why would the prefect want to talk about Lilia? Now that he thinks about it. He hasn’t seen Lilia since Malleus’s overblot….. no he’s fine right…? LILIA IS FINE! He just…… he’s gone…. NO… not gone just…. Away at… he’s at the land of the red dragons! That’s right! Lilia has already retired and gone to the land of the red dragons! How could Sebek forget that? Sebek ignores Yuu’s worried gaze and leaves to find Malleus but…. Something still bugs him. Did Lilia really leave without saying goodbye…? Why can’t he remember when he left….? Why…. Why can the remember?!

Sebek finally finds Malleus walking around the woods on campus while he initially planned to guard Malleus instead he ends up telling Malleus about his memory issues as of late without even meaning to. Malleus listens as he always does being the amazing leader and powerful mage he is offers to help. Sebek reluctantly accepts only so he can return to his proper duty as Malleus’s guard and retainer it was just supposed to be a spell to improve his memory, but the second Malleus started using his magic Sebek felt something flare deep in his body he barely registers falling but Malleus catches him as his ears ring and he heaves. Sebek can barely make out a conversation between Malleus and someone else but it doesn’t feel real… he doesn’t feel real. As Sebek feels his body twitch everything fades like this all a bad dream.

I want to clarify a bit more simply cause I can :D and give way to the start of the timeline so enjoy the POV of Ortho

After Malleus’s Overblot it was a chaotic mess Lilia had died Malleus had basically lost all his magic and everyone was suffering from aftereffects of sleeping for so long. No body could stay focused everyone was sore and their magic….. something was wrong with everyone’s magic….

Ortho flew through the campus being one of the only unaffected as his android body doesn’t need sleep and Ortho doesn’t really have magic. he tries to help those in Diasomnia who have been moved to various other dorms with Diasomnia being destroyed and. No one wants to go back there after hearing of Lilia’s death. Ortho specifically keeps an eye on Sebek. Knowing the half fae looked up to Lilia like a mentor and worked so hard to be a guard for Malleus. But….. Sebek acts like nothing happened. Ortho finds it strange he knows people cope in different ways but anytime someone talks about Lilia Sebek gets a dark glassy look in his eyes for a second before continuing on brushing off the person he’s talking to. Ortho finally finds Sebek he’s talking with Malleus in the woods as the prince attempts some spell Ortho can’t tell what it is from away but almost immediately Sebek stumbles away falling to his knees Ortho rushes over to help while Malleus tries to call to Sebek… he doesn’t answer coughing up blot as his body heaves. Ortho doesn’t know why Sebek is suddenly convulsing blot but quickly contacts his parents while making sure Sebek is ok.

When his parents respond Sebek has already been brought to the infirmary Ortho knows something is wrong with Sebek his blot levels are all weird….. it’s both under the amount it should be and grossly over and his magic…. It’s almost completely gone and still declining. All the tests Ortho tries to run on Sebek glitch out his system…. It’s been glitching out a lot more recently he should talk to Idia about an update after this is settled.

I want to go into more detail how I think the insanity works sighing this au ;)

So first off Malleus in this Au he’s completely immune. I mean it was his own blot that caused all of this of course it wouldn’t affect him. Malleus has to watch all those he knew be driven to insanity immersed in a world that doesn’t exist because of his selfish actions. And he can’t do anything to fix it his magic is weak and the one time he tried it just made it worse………

The person the most effected by the blot is Sebek he was one of the closest to Malleus throughout the whole Overblot and his absolute devotion to Malleus only progressed the insanity. Sebek like most others was quite paranoid after the fact suffering from the same after effects everyone else was….. sleeping spells and extreme paranoia wondering if this was all still a dream. After Sebek realizes something is wrong he does go to Malleus wanting to genuinely ask if something is happening to him. Both Malleus and Sebek didn’t know his magic would only make it worse. Malleus attempted a “simple” cleansing spell. But Malleus’s magic reacted violently with the blot already corrupting Sebek’s system feeding it only consuming the half fae more. This is when Idia and Ortho finally realized something was really wrong and had STYX step in taking away Sebek Silver and all the other housewardens…… Sebek doesn’t even know he’s at STYX most days. He believes he’s serving Malleus being the loyal guard he’s always wanted to be. But….. there are some days where his eyes shine clear and he begs the guards to tell him what’s happening. Why is he in this strange cell. What is happening to him. WHY DOES NOTHING FEEL REAL?! But those thoughts eventually fade again as Sebek becomes immersed in a dream once more his sanity slipping further away until it can no longer resurface.

And Silver how has he faired with the insanity? He is pretty good all things considered. Sometimes he stare blankly at the wall or feeling or even at STYX member list in some dream but other times he’s fully able to hold a normal conversation and remember everything. Silver is used to the feeling of not knowing if he’s awake or asleep so he’s dealing with everything really well…… but there are days where he’s immobilized his mind turning against him forcing him to relive the day he found out who his real parents were…. What the dawn knight did. Silver become inconsolable those days sometimes these nightmares can last weeks STYX workers are at a loss on why this happens as the dreams Malleus made in his Overblot were supposed to remove pain and heartache. And yet with Silver the blot only feeds the guilt he feels over who his family was. How he lost Lilia. And how EVERYTHING is his fault.

Blot infection Diasomnia Au

So we know that Malleus’s Overblot lasted a few days I don’t believe the exact number of days is shared. But what are the consequences of staying around an Overblotted mage and phantom that long? What happens to a mages magic? To their minds? My thought is the closest a person is to Malleus while asleep the more corrupted they became so Lilia Silver Sebek would be the most likely to be infected with the housewardens minus Idia not far behind simply because they were told to stop Malleus before he Overblotted. But what would the insanity look like? How would it infect them?

I’m gonna use Sebek as an example for what the people affected by this blot could act like. First I like to imagine the corruption is slow that’s why such a little number of people were affected and we know Malleus wasn’t present in the Diasomnia for some time dealing with Ortho. First to be fully taken over by the blot it takes a long time to properly get into the mages’s system but once it does then it corrupts their magic core. We dont have to much information on a mage’s magic core so I’m gonna make it up;) but I’m getting sidetracked back to Sebek.

Nothing seems wrong at first everyone wakes up after Malleus’s Overblot. But one thing changes in this au Lilia stays dead the ring Silver has no longer works the auroral gemstone now a deep black reflecting the black of Malleus’s broken horn. The anguish of losing Lilia only makes Silver and Sebek’s corruption worse. The following weeks Sebek loses touch with reality finding himself acting more erratic unable to use magic but most chalk it up to the loss of Lilia. Most don’t realize that something is wrong until the mage’s minds are fully corrupted. The blot having taken over their magic works on their mind driving them further from reality until they live in a world of dreams.

HEY HELLO I’m 45fhau im a huge Twst fan who is experimenting with writing little dabbles for the first time! I’d love any tips for my writing and im open to any suggestions!!!! Most of my stuff has been ship content so far but I can always try angst or platonic fluff hell maybe horror I’m down to try it!

There are a few things will not write just at my own boundaries I can’t really write smut so unfortunately that’s included but I also would like to avoid any problematic ships! If I have a problem I will tell you straight up don’t worry :D

Nobody on NRC campus really knows how Ace and Sebek became friends let alone boyfriends. Very few people know how they truly bonded during Malleus’s Overblot, and it was those few who discovered the duo were dating.

Sebek and Ace started netting up frequently after classes it started randomly when Ace found the half fae silently panicking wondering if he was still trapped in a dream. Now Ace may be an asshole but he’s not gonna leave someone to suffer alone so he sits down next to the fae boy and punches his arm to get his attention and convince him this isn’t a dream. It takes a while as Sebek is surprisingly paranoid but eventually the half fae calms down and the next day they meet at the same spot…. Neither really know why the kept going back after classes everyday to talk to the other especially because they don’t agree on a lot of things and commonly would argue during these meetings. But Sebek starts to actually seek the other first years out eating with them and even attending the weekly sleepover’s at Ramshackle.

During one of there meeting after clubs today as Ace had a game and Sebek was practicing with Tempest for an upcoming show. Ace’s hair is still damp with sweat he was actually getting a lot of playing time today but Sebek is still in his equestrian club outfit….. Ace has known he’s Bi for a long time but he never thought he’d feel flustered over one of his friends especially Sebek!!!! If it was someone like Jack or hell even Deuce he’d understand but Sebek?! The loud mouth fae who he totally wasn’t looking forward to seeing and is now standing with…. Ok maybe he does have a tintsy tiny microscopic crush. But who can blame him?! Sebek is unfortunately totally his type as much as he hates it. Ace finally realizes he’s been zoned out this whole time as he finally refocuses on the fae boy in front of him who’s been calling his name for the last minute. Ace can only gaze into those sharp electric green eyes so close to his own as Sebek snaps in his face. Ace totally blames it on after game brain fog for what he does impulsively pulling Sebek close and kissing him without warning.

Sebek who had been trying to regain Ace’s attention is more than shocked being pulled into a kiss freezing up before pulling away and screaming a bunch of nonsense but Ace just smile……. That infuriatingly charming smile that makes Sebek weak…. What magic has Ace learned to make him feel all warm inside like this?! He’s tried to talk with Lilia about it but he just smiled at Sebek talking about how nice it is to be young and oblivious.

Ace realizing what the hell he just did immediately actually apologizes since he did just sorta forcefully make Sebek kiss him, and runs off before Sebek can chase after him running back to his dorm. Deuce is already in their dorm getting ready to go to bed when Ace comes in Deuce is a bit concerned seeing how panicked Ace is. However Ace brushes him off changing quickly and going to bed early determined to sleep but being unable to remembering that damn kiss……

Sebek gets back to Diasomnia and his feet automatically take him to Lilia needing his guidance now more than ever. Lilia answer his door to see Sebek and smirks to himself before inviting him inside so they can talk already knowing why he’s here. Sebek doesn’t hold back talking to his mentor telling him about the kiss him and Ace shared…… Lilia after hearing it asks Sebek.

Lilia: While it sounds like Ace didn’t ask to kiss you it seems as if you went against it. What are your feelings for Ace?

Sebek has to really think of that. His feelings for Ace…? He’s an annoying classmate but also a dear friend. A trickster but he has a kind heart under the surface. All his thoughts are contradictory but one things for sure…. He surprisingly didn’t have the kiss. But why in Waka Sama’s name did he not have it?! This is Ace Trappola!!!! Thinking about that kiss makes his cheeks go red and his stomach tighten into a knot. He’s never felt so weak before! He still remembers the first day him and Ace started to meet up after classes, the first few weeks after Malleus’s overblot he had been extremely paranoid that he was still trapped in a dream. Things started to not feel real…. But then Ace showed up. And he stayed made horrible jokes and just talked with him. Sebek hates how vulnerable he was that day but was extremely grateful that Ace was there for him. Maybe that’s why he kept going back…. Maybe this warm feeling isn’t some magic Ace placed on him……

Sebek goes bright red after finally realizing why exactly he’s been feeling like this around Ace….. he likes Ace Trappola. Lilia seeing the young half fae turn bright red laughs in a lightly teasing manner and gives Sebek some advice on how to tell him his feeling before sending the boy off to bed as it’s getting late. Sebek doesn’t get a wink of sleep instead stressing on how to tell Ace about his newly discovered crush.

Admittedly both the boys avoid each other for a few days following the kiss. Ace because he genuinely feels a bit bad forcing himself on Sebek meanwhile Sebek trying to figure out the best way to confess to an human going so far as to ask his parent how they got together which doesn’t end up helping much but him sends him a shiny ruby pendant as both wish him luck.

Finally after a week of planning Sebek is ready! Now to find Ace, he’s not in their usual spot after classes….. not at the gym for basketball not at his dorm according to Deuce and he even checks Ramshackle…. Nothing it’s like he’s trying to avoid him…. That jerk!

Ace meanwhile is hiding in the one place he figures Sebek wouldn’t search for him in the library he knows the half fae is a fan of books but assumes Sebek won’t looks here because Ace personally hates studying. When Ace finally thinks it’s been long enough he heads back towards Heartslabyul trying to think of an excuse to miss tonight’s sleepover at Ramshackle he’s stopped by Sebek putting his arms on his shoulders. Ace nearly jumps out of his skin seeing the boy he’s been trying to avoid in front of him but can’t make an excuse and dip with Sebek’s hands on his shoulders.

Sebek smile as he finally catches Ace not meaning to scare him. But just glad he was finally able to find him wanting to finally tell him about these feelings so they will hopefully stop bothering him….. and because Sebek doesn’t want to lose Ace. While preparing everything to confess to him Sebek did notice Ace avoiding him. Sitting with Trey and Cater at lunch, skipping out on any joint classes, passing him in the hallway looking the other way. It hurt Sebek more than he thought it would so Sebek is sick of it! So he kneels down taking one of Ace’s hands in his as he says.

Sebek: Human! You better listen when I say this because I’m only going to say this once! You utterly confuse me! You’ve both captured my attention yet drive me mad! I find myself both enamored and frustrated with you to no end and I can no longer deny it! So I’ve decided I will declare my love to you! Ace Trappola you are the most annoying yet endearing human I’ve ever met and I would be honored if you accepted my vow to be your partner!

As Sebek finishes his vow he spent all week preparing he placed the ruby pendent in Ace’s palm as an offering. Ace is stunned…. Sebek never does things half assed he learned this very quickly about the fae. It’s one of his favorite things about him. But still Ace is stunned to know his feelings are not only mutual but…. For Sebek to give such a heartfelt vow….. Ace takes the Ruby pendant smiling down at the half fae as he helps Sebek up hugging him.
