i dread working in the space exploration and development industry sometimes. sometimes i’m like. maybe i should change career paths and go into climate science or something. because all i’ll really be doing by going into space exploration is helping out the military. there’s a reason they’re cutting funding to every other field but not this one and it’s because they want to use this field as a weapon. because it’s worked as a weapon before during the cold war. funding better rockets is an excuse to develop better bombs. but i don’t want to be part of that.
maybe i’ll do something relatively inconsequential like… i dunno. study exoplanets. can’t be helping the military if i’m just studying exoplanets. i just want to do science for the sake of learning like every other ancient ass astronomer did. i don’t wanna assist in warfare.
