This amazing looking creation is the Biomimicry Shoe designed by Marieka Ratsma in collaboration with Kostika Spaho. Aside from the unusual aesthetic, this shoe could only have been fabricated with 3D printing!
Then there’s the delicate skeletal looking Melonia Shoe, designed by fashion designer Naim Josefi, industrial designer Souzan Yusouf. Don’t let it fool you, these are perfectly wearable and first made their debut on a catwalk in 2010.
The shoe is designed as a closed loop system - a person can go into a shop, have their foot scanned and a shoe printed in a homogenous, recyclable material. WANT!
