Meet the Zombified Piglin God.
Hickory, The Firebringer, The Bridge.
Hickory was born a Pig in The Great Taigas, a very large Taiga biome that extends into a Snowy Taiga. He was raised by his 2 pig parents in the snowy parts, until his mother was caught in a Sweetberry bush.
After his mother's death, his father became distant, and ultimately, when he slipped into a river, he didn't save him. Letting the river carry him downstream.
The river took him to a Plains Biome, where a young Pig heard his cries and pulled him from the river. Ultimately adopting him.
He grew into adolescence, Before Villagers spotted him due to his unique fur coating for a plains biome, they ultimately took him from his adoptive mother who panicked and ran to save herself.
He became an adult in a small, 4x3 pen. Being raised by a Butcher, He had to see animals dying through the window. He had been planned to be used for breeding for more pigs with his fur coat, before he was struck by lightning.
And before he could react, An Iron Golem rushed him.
Hickory is the King of one of the largest Monster kingdoms in the world, Mayham Kingdom. Though he originally ruled a Village known as Piggybank Village. Which was destroyed in a war with the gods from the opposing council.
The way his people view him differs greatly, mostly due to his views about Villages. Which he raids and destroys. Many of his people view him as heartless due to this, while others who dislike Villagers due to their relations to humans view him as a noble king.
Due to being raised by a Butcher, meat makes Hickory nauseous. But since he is an Omnivore and there aren't too many proteins in the world, Hickory is a Pescitarian. He got comfortable eating fish without too much hassle. Most of his diet tends to consist of Potatoes, Carrots and Fish. Though he also enjoys Bread, Eggs, Cheese, Baked Sweets & Golden Apples.
His Nickname, The Bridge comes from Animal Kingdoms far away, where he is referred to as such due to his ability to speak Monster and Animal. Thus they view him as "The Bridge" between the two species-types.
The Firebringer comes from Villagers, This name comes from his ability, which is to create fire from nothing. He has trouble controlling this ability when enraged. Causing him to appear as a ball of fire and the shadow of a Piglin.
Hickory was born AFAB, But due to his more mass appearance and voice, was often referred to with he/him pronouns. Which when asked he said he didn't mind. He didn't learn about Gender or Sex as a pig. So upon learning he wasn't born male he was distraught for a while. Before ultimately realizing he is genderfluid and becoming comfortable in his gender identity. Despite still identifying as Transmasc he is more in touch with his feminine side and uses he/she/they pronouns.
Hickory is also a Pansexual Lesboy, he learned about Sexuality from the Gods, who often have very complex identities made through hundreds upon thousands of years. He learned the term Lesboy from Brutus and Multispec Lesbian identifies from Wisteria, Who's a Bi-Lesbian.
Hickory is Polyamorus, And has 4 current romantic partners, and 2 queer platonic ones.
His Wife, Kelp. Who he's known for the longest. They have a very deep and personal connection. Hickory made Kelps life interesting again after years of living the same life. And made her realize there was more to immortality than boredom. Hickory taught Kelp how to enjoy life again. And what exactly it means to love. And even subconsciously helped Kelp realize that she was Hickory's Wife, Not his husband.
And Kelp inspired Hickory to his very core. If it wasn't for Kelp Hickory wouldn't have started his Kingdom. And after his first wife and Kelps other girlfriend left, they both became huge pillars of support for each other.
Golem is one of his boyfriends, he was a detective Iron Golem generally disliked by his village due to his inability to view monsters as threats. Ultimately, Golem was experimented on by Hickory's laboratory despite his orders. And after banishing the scientists Hickory brought Golem to live in his Castle, where him, Hickory, Kelp and Hickory's first wife ultimately fell in love. Golem is mute, like all Iron Golems. And has learned sign language, admittedly he needs more character development.
Bolt is his other Boyfriend. He was also one of the banished scientists. He was experimented on by an Anti-Piglin Villager group called The Netherwalkers. Who removed the rest of the Zombified Piglins skin. Causing permanent damage. After being rescued with many other Piglins, he was regranted entry by Hickory. Who observed him while he recovered.
Bolt went somewhat insane from the experimentation. He freaks out upon hearing his old name. And thus goes by bolt now. He loves electricity and lightning. And even made a machine to trigger rains and thunder. But he is now very anti-abusive experimentation. And only experiments on fully willing participants, usually Hickory. Since Hickory is immortal and likes learning about his body.
Bolt made Hickory feel comfortable again after everything he went through. Especially after he slowly lost his ability to walk. Hickory made Bolt feel like he truly deserved a second chance, and like his life wasn't just over after everything. And Bolt made Hickory feel like a normal person. He talks to Hickory like he isn't a Lord, but an equal. And Hickory always admired that about him.
Honeybunny is a newer character, so she's less developed. She is an Anthropomorphic Bee. (See my pinned for a bit more info on Anthro Animal mobs! I should make a whole post abt them soon.) She rules over a Kingdom of Anthropomorphic Bees in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Where the water turns to Honey and the grass is unnaturally green. She met Hickory while he was on a 5 year voyage to find Endergods Cult. She tried to convince him to stay with her at the time. But since he couldn't contact his partners he ultimately left without them becoming partners, however he later returned after speaking with them again. And officially got together!
Hickory's 2 Queer Platonic Partners are Wisteria, The Wither Skeleton God and Brutus, The Piglin God. He's known them both just as long as Kelp, and they've been equally important in his life. The four of them (Hickory, Kelp, Brutus and Wisteria) Have known each other for many years (In Wisteria and Brutus' case, Hundreds) and all mean a lot to each other. They're the perfect example of found family imo.
Hickorys Ex-Wife is Endergod, The Enderman God. They were very in love for a long time, but Endergod was concerned over his hatred of Villagers. And ultimately mentioned her fears to Amethyst the Allay god, which Hickory overheard, and in fear of being abandoned broke up with her before she could break up with him. This caused a stir both within the Castle and Kingdom.
Kelp and Golem had both been dating Endergod. And were distraught over her leaving. Kelp ultimately took Hickory's side. Despite never truly viewing Endergod as being at fault. He never hated her. Golem always agreed with Endergods viewpoints. Though he didn't feel as strongly about it due to the abuse he sustained from Villagers, and what they did to Bolt.
The Kingdom was in fear for a while after The Queens departure. And after discovering her reasoning, many groups began to form to show their support for the queen. One of these groups would go on to temporarily overthrow Hickory. Which would lead to him snapping and doing his first and currently only public execution.
Hickory also has 4 children, (With Varying decrees of development) 2 Adopted and 2 Biological.
His Eldest is Icicle the Ghastling God. He does Young and thus, his body and mind are stuck at 16 in Earth years. They're technically older than Hickory. He's very ambitious and protective of his younger siblings.
His oldest Middle Child is a Villager he adopted. Hickory had found a single Village that didn't eat Animals. And thus decided to protect the Village. And ultimately adopted a child from it that desperately needed a home. This child is currently unnamed, But they're personality is more developed! They're about 13 years old. And are very prideful. They bite back against Piglins who dislike Villagers no matter their size. He's aware of the power he holds as a Prince. And enjoys using it to occasionally get away with mischief. He also wishes to become King when he's older.
His Youngest Middle Child is Coral, Who's named after Kelps Mother. Coral is a Sea Piglin, a Cross-breed between Zombified Piglins and Drowned. She was also born a God due to having 2 God Parents. And as thus she is considered the God Of Sea Piglins and is technically part of The Third Council. Though she still goes to the Monster Council meetings with her parents. She's chaotic as can be. Has an unnatural amount of energy and loves water. She was 2 when Hickory left for his Voyage, and so she was 7 when he returned. Because if this Hickory felt a lot of guilt for missing her grow up. But he works on making up for last time. During the time he was gone, Bolt became a father figure to her.
His Youngest Child is Flutter (Placeholder Name) Who is a Bee Zombified Piglin Hybrid. Hickory and Honeybunny are her biological parents. With Kelp assisting in their Conception due to they're differing biology. Flutter is still an infant. But she's a very sweet baby who especially likes the color Yellow.
Hickory is Plural, Though this is still in development since even though I (Hickory's creator and writer) am Plural I don't know nearly enough about it yet. But he does have 1 Alter, Blu. Blu is more distant than Hickory, one might think that Hickory was just in a bad mood, but those who know him well would tell Blue is fronting. Blu also doesn't like physical affection like Hickory does. Blu also is not a Pescitarian. And actually tends to enjoy the taste of white meat. Though he still refuses to eat Pig Meat.
Hickory went off on a 5 year voyage to find Endergods Cult, after she attempted to kill Wisteria due to Prime the Blaze gods' manipulation.
During his Voyage, he hid his identity as a god to form a party with Mortals. Including a Pillager with a soft spot for Villagers.
Hickorys' Party across his voyage made him begin to change his mind about Villagers. Seeing this up close from a Mortal Perspective made him realize they aren't all Animal Abusers.
Eventually, his Party learned of his true identity. Which eventually led to the party splitting up. Much to Hickorys' dismay.
Currently, Hickory is a notorious name. Most people know either of his names. Within his Kingdom, He's either a Noble, Fairhearted ruler, Or a heartless fool. To Monsters, he's a legend. A beast capable of destroying kingdoms with a flick of his wrist. And to Villagers, he's a boogyman. Something every Village fears to see beyond the horizon.
