Hi! My name is Mae, she/they trans woman, aromantic and asexual.

I’m an aspiring writer and frequently post about the things I’m writing; a fantasy Untitled Fish People Book and a sci-fi story set in the same universe’s future, Starswimmer. Finally, I’m (very slowly) creating a game called Welcome to Sunport. All three of these are tagged as I have introduced them.

Main persisting interests that I talk about here are the criminally underrated Detective Beebo: Night at the Mansion, as well as Citizen Sleeper, Dimension 20, Deltarune, Dungeon Crawler Carl, Slay the Spire, and whatever else is on my mind. I think one of the things that really gets me about the phm fandom's general hatred of aromantics and asexuals is that it used to be good. like if it was so hateful from the start, sure, whatever, it'd just be like every other fandom, we've all experienced it before, that's exactly what's expected. what makes it so bad, for me at least, is that for once, just this one time, aromantics and asexuals and aroaces and our headcanons were actually respected, liked, celebrated, and treated with value. we were finally treated like so many other queer identities in fandom are. and then, once we finally got that, we were thrown out and run over and told to our faces that we aren't entertaining enough for the allos. and now you can barely even talk about it without getting 5-50 allos on your post bitching and moaning because they see a headcanon as a personal attack and can't handle that they aren't the centre of attention in something that has nothing to do with them at all. that's what's so devastating for me. because we finally were treated like people and then we lost it.
