3000 Miles Away

Lots of Skype dates and messages, communication is key. Set things to look forward to, talk about things you’ll be able to do when you’re together. Not only will it give you more topics to discuss, it’ll also help make the time apart go faster. Watch films and tv shows, read books, find other interests that you both have in common. 

We have matching wristbands which help remind us of each other when we’re apart, which may help? Finding things that you both can share, even when apart, is fun and exciting, and a nice reminder that they are thinking about you. Other gifts are nice too, surprise letters, little presents.

sleeping together will help you guys have a deeper connection💕

devyn and i actually have matching bracelets and shirts too; i highly recommend both of you buying a blanket and sleeping with it for a week or so (or however long ya want) and mail it to the other person. dev mailed me his blanket and i can’t go to bed without it. the scent helps me fall asleep and makes me feel closer to him <3

Long distance relationships hurt.

They do.

You see your s/o being happy in their everyday life with their friends and it hurts to not be able to experience that with them.

It hurts when they are so very sad, it breaks your heart because you can’t hold them and tell them it’s okay.

It hurts seeing them do some things and imagining yourself with them because you are constantly reminded that you can’t.

You can’t do a lot.

But what you can do is be the reassuring call or text at three in the morning when they’re having a bad day.

You can plan for your future with them, you can plan your first meeting and make it any fairy tale you want.

You can be the reason they smile in the morning and before they go to bed.

You can do so much for them and just because you aren’t there, it doesn’t mean you don’t love them any less than someone who sees their s/o everyday.
