jean took a step back, fiery red eyes piercing the agents surrounding megan, it wasn't a though choice there, the redhead would always protect her people. " is the suit that bad? " a faint laugh echoed, she could feel every thought in that alley, the agents were afraid and that often led to disaster. " they will be out of it for a good while, and if you want to run, i won't chase you. "
"i always thought you looked really cool with the x but then again i also thought we'd all stick together so maybe I'm wrong." she huffed before putting her soul dagger into the pocket dimension she'd recently learned to access magic was so cool!!! "we would have helped you... you didn't have to go to them." megan said softly before making her way towards each agent and sprinkling them with some pixie dust so they wouldn't know jean had been the one who knocked them out. @hceroiscms
Bruce had long since always ensured that whatever came his way, he had a plan for it, these accords were something he’d seen coming with each new person they saved. Being one of the few of the Justice League without powers, he’d seen the writing on the wall of how they got looks near the end, especially Clark and Diana. The world was changing and they were being seen as the monsters they tried hard to protect the world from. The others hadn’t seen what this paper truly meant in terms of signing off their identities. To alert the world to who hid behind the mask wasn’t something he could agree with.
So he began his plans of starting something underground, something that allowed him to keep his secret away from everyone as Batman and Bruce Wayne. Clark had come to him not too long ago looking for his help, part of him wanted to be petty and tell the other he’d reaped what he sowed, but he saw this opportunity he couldn’t turn down a person on the inside who could tell him the enemy's movements.
“You always keep me waiting for a man who can fly around the world in 80 seconds. How is it that you can never appear on time?” he mused, moving out of the shadows, after all, it wouldn’t do good for either of their sides to see them conveyancing. “Have you got news for me?”
clark couldn't help but chuckle at his broody friend before holding up his arm to show the broken watch "sorry, they keep breaking. i can't seem to find a brand that can survive breaking the sound barrier." not that he was still actively looking for a watch anymore, the broken watch had become part of him as clark kent. "not much yet, don't want to draw too much attention. i was able to get that flash drive you gave me plugged in to a few different computers in their hq so you should have a back door in." @brokenbeauties

clark had spent quite a long time zipping around the world and going into space to lose the systems he knew were tracking him. he'd managed to keep the fortress out of the hands of the government and he intended to keep it that way. it wasn't for them and they had no need to know about it. so clark took his time and made sure that no one would follow him there so he could see his son. clark needed to know that he was okay, needed to make sure connor knew he'd always be proud of him and support him. so, as soon as he entered the fotress and saw conner there, clark pulled him into a hug so tight that it would break your average human. "it's good to see you son."

it had taken him a bit of time to find a spot away from all the noise, to carve himself a little area of peace where he could breathe and just be steve rogers, but he managed to find an old area in the network of underground pipes that he'd made his own. of course, he made sure that his friends would be able to find him, but he needed space to jsut exist away from the resistance. steve had probably been here too long, absorbed in the sketch he was working on, which would explain why someone came looking for him. "sorry, how long was i gone?"

"you'd probably like batman. he's the silent and broody type but he's almost as good as you in a fight."

steve tugged his hat lower as he weaved out of the streets and into the wooded area nearby, leading his very obvious tail further in and away from the people. once he had enough distance steve looped around behind the agent and knocked them out "ya know nat, these new guys seem pretty green. how much training are they even getting now?" he looked over his shoulder at his friend ( she'd always be his friend, even on opposite sides of this ) "i'm not here for a fight, just distributing supplies to those in need."

lois had always tried to do the right thing. whether that was something she was reporting or the choices that she made as a parent, she liked to think she was at least somewhat a good judge of things. she had made the right choice, naturally, when all of this started. right? she was kind of second guessing it now with the way that she felt some of her old acquaintances and even family were being treated now. "have you talked to anyone lately?" she raised an eyebrow as she turned to face clark. "about...you know. how things are going over there?"
clark wasn't perfect, despite the way people treated him as superman, he was just... a man. he made mistakes, quite often actually, and now he and lois were stuck in the middle of one suck mistake. he was trying to make it right, they both were. clark smiled softly before pressing a kiss to lois' cheek "I have a meeting with a certain over-dramatic friend later this week" he whispered softly. clark landed softly in the alleyway in the deepest part of new gotham, pulling the beanie down a bit further before heading out towards the meeting place. he'd been in orbit the past couple hours to throw off any potential trackers or watchful eyes. clark had honestly thought the accords would be a good thing, maybe he had too much faith in humanity, but he quickly learned that bruce had been right. when isn't he right though... the first time he had been told to stand down when people were in danger clark knew he'd made a mistake.
it had taken him some time, clark was nowhere near as good as bruce was at stealth and espionage, but clark had reached out to his friend for advice and to offer his in return. their first meeting had gone well in clark's opinion, no one ever knew what bruce was thinking but clark was willing to do whatever was asked of him to make this right. all he wanted to do was help people, both as superman and as clark kent, and with bruce's help he hoped to get back to that.
he ducked into the abandoned building and made his way to the basement, using his x-ray vision to find the hidden door in the dark room. "hope I didn't keep you waiting too long." clark apologised to his friend who was currently cloaked in the shadows of the room.

" and i won't let them do that either " an attack in the streets had guardians spread out, searching for any forgers responsible, or resistance. " let me get you out of here, megan, to safety " jean would never hurt a mutant, an old friend of all. " just follow me, okay? " a swift wave of hand had a few shield agents faint to the streets, a clean path, for now.
she hated all of this, megan hated every second of this. from the way that her friends had been forced to pick sides, to being treated like a criminal simply because she didn't sign some paper. and now, all because of these government officials and that stupid paper she was surrounded by shield agents. "jean..." megan frowned "those colors look horrible on you." her wings twitched slightly, ready to fly away at a moments notice "why should i trust you? you chose to be controlled by them! how do i know you aren't leading me to some hole in the ground?" @hceroiscms
