Sasuke’s arm stays wrapped around Sakura's shoulders, occasionally tugging her in closer, putting his lips to her temple and whispering in a way that has her batting her lashes coyly and giggling back at him. 

At the far end of the projector room sits a short row of four theater chairs, an old ripped velvet curtain tacked up and draped like a canopy, able to be drawn shut and separating the air space from the rest of the room. 

Deidara sits down in his favorite seat, second from the left, the beat-up box sitting directly in front of it making it the ideal spot to cut open a cigarillo and dump out the tobacco contents and replace it with something a little more green. 

Once the blunt is ready, Sakura sits herself down in the other middle seat, and Sasuke takes the end, his arm drops to the back of the chair, switching between rubbing on Sakura's back and spidering his fingertips on the backside of Deidara’s arm—just out of Sakura's performatory vision, dipping up under Deidara’s shirtsleeve and sending a smattering of goosebumps erupting across his skin.  

Deidara dryly rips ticket after ticket at the velvet rope separating the theater hall from the lobby, the kids movie isn’t even halfway to being sold out, so he lets the trio of middle school boys slip through on two admit-one passes. He’ll be on break by the time the assistant manager goes around to do head counts, and the boys will likely find themselves ‘accidently’ sitting in the wrong movie as the r-rated showing contains both nipples and gore. 

The tweens pass through with their buckets of popcorn and sodas that Deidara will surely be mopping up later, and Deidara doesn't bother to look up as he holds his hand out to the next patron in line. 

His upright palm is met with a stinging slap and the familiar amused chuckle of Sasuke. 

“You on break soon?” Sasuke questions. It’s not uncommon for him to show up in the middle of Deidara’s shift, looking to re-up on weed or check in on any hints party favors Dei may be able to acquire tonight. What is unusual is Sasuke has not shown up alone. 

It’s not his co-captain, brother, or Karin that accompanies him. Looking up at Sasuke with an immeasurable sort of adoration and a soft smile, Sakura Haruno has shown up yet again to Ame, this time with Sasuke’s arm slung around her shoulders as they block the line of ticketees from advancing. If Deidara didn’t know Sasuke half as well as he does, he’d say the pair almost look like they could be out on a date.
