I don’t know what singular event caused me to get to this point in my life but I’ve been officially single for an estimated 5 years. I’ve had interactions (sick make out sessions) with women throughout but nothing particularly concrete. Initially I didn’t want anything exclusive, I wanted to enjoy the single life. “Single and ready to mingle” they call it… but the mingling never started. Staying stable during my stint in relationship purgatory is essential, shitty beer is the independent variable. How I approach different situations involving women that keep me in the same predicament is the dependent variable, always the same. Nonetheless, I’m genuinely happy for someone who’s been single for such an extended period of time. Its given me time to self reflect while focusing on the things I wanted to improve upon: writing, photography, jokes, and my text game. Although my inbox stays exponentially dry, I’m still out here, so here’s to another five years.
