This month is going to be an exciting one.

First things first — I’m completing this trio into a full squad of five. The work is already in progress. At the same time, I’ve started experimenting with an idea for a completely new faction — I’ll share some teasers later. ;)

This month will be a bit of a breather before a much larger project — those big ones do take a lot of energy!

The new Librarian is ready — epic, powerful, and designed especially for kitbash enthusiasts!

I aimed to make the model as neutral as possible so it can fit into different factions with just a few tweaks and the right paint scheme.

The home stretch!

The librarian in heavy armor is ready!

This set turned out really cool: lots of details, powerful armor, and rich customization options.

For the first time, I decided to make a head without a helmet to show the character of the miniature warrior.

During the process, two versions of the head appeared — the initial one (with a hairstyle) and the final one (in a psi helmet). I added both to the set. 🙂

And, of course, the helmet itself is also included.

In addition, I made a new sword that can replace the staff.

So, as promised, the set turned out to be truly “rich” — an excellent base for kitbashing, gaming, and collecting!

Now there's just one thing left to do: disassemble it into parts, scale it, and place supports.

💡 A bit about the concept.

I’ve never fully connected with GW’s official design. To be clear — the GW designers are excellent at what they do, and their work is thoughtful and well-executed. But the overall image, to me, feels like it stops halfway: there’s a lot of “knighthood,” but not a complete, finished expression of the idea. If you’re going to use medieval armor motifs, then I believe the concept should be pushed all the way.

That’s why I take a different approach. For me, Steel Sentinel 18 is my own interpretation of the lore and the spirit of grimdark. It’s not a copy — it’s an alternative. Some people prefer the classic, others enjoy new perspectives, and some even mix both approaches. And honestly, I think that’s the coolest part! 🙌
