I'm in the middle of writing a short book about a girl called Lexi Stewart who's looking for her missing Friend Charlotte Maybank here's a short summary:

Life stops for Lexi Stewart stops as she knows it when she learns that her best friend Charlotte Maybank is missing. All that was left from Charlotte was a text stating she would be visiting her parents in her home town she hasn’t contacted her back since it’s been three weeks now and she still hasn’t heard back from charlotte. So, she’s taken matters into her own hands and went to her home town of Roseboro to find her friend and get an answer from her on why she wouldn’t answer text, calls it has got to the point where she is e-mailing her friend.

 She is very concerned for her friend as this is not like her at all she would at least contact her and let her know she was ok when she was going somewhere and would keep her up to date with her life, but it’s been nearly a month. But atlas nothing her calls had been going to voicemail for a long time now and she has held off on her search for her friend as her parents would have contacted her or the police if something had happened to her and she also didn’t want to be a push over but that all ended when she got a text.

Not from Charlotte or she didn’t think so it was a text directing her to Roseboro not just a simple one it was threatening chilling even ‘get in the car and go search now.’ She was stunned and a bit anxious she didn’t talk to anyone much apart from Charlotte and her own parents and it wouldn’t have been her parent and it seemed to ominous to be charlotte.

 But despite that she went ahead and followed the text messages directions as she wouldn’t have been contacted for no reason but she had been put on edge about the situation because the only people she had mentioned her concerns to was her parents and they wouldn’t have sent the test as in her mother’s word she was just an ‘overly concerned friend’ and ‘not to worry’ her father on the other hand found this to be a blessing as he didn’t like Charlotte as much as her mother as he thinks of her as a ‘bad influence’ little does he know the situations that the girls find themselves in is mostly Lexis fault.

Knowing all this it was obvious that whoever sent that text was not her parent or Charlotte whoever it was had been watching her, listening to her somehow whether it was through her phone or in person Lexi was terrified and alerted the authorities to this there wasn’t much they can do about it so she was told to contact the police if anything happened again.

Nothing did so she took a few days to think and decided to go looking for her friend and little did she know this would lead to so much more, more than she could comprehend she would feel bitrade by her own mind and confused by the information she learns about her friend.

She couldn’t wrap her head around how such a small tight nit town could hold so many secrets, tears, and blood every corner she turned she would be warned of the woods to stay clear of them and leave she felt like a complete outsider an enemy of a sort to the people of this community she was so confused on how her sweet friend Charlotte could be a part of such community she starts to see Charlotte in a new light with the things she learns and it made her feel uneasy.

As did the woods what was it about these woods that scared the locals, that scared her she wasn’t from the community she had barley stepped a food in the town before she started to feel claustrophobic surrounded by so many trees so many tall slender ominous looking trees, she felt silly who would be scared of trees?

But she will later find out it’s not the trees that make her feel uneasy it’s the forest this isn’t a normal place she quickly finds out and it’s not a place one would want to visit she was so confused on why Charlotte and been so hasty to return she hadn’t mentioned the town before at that she hadn’t mentioned her parents before.
