My Favorite Low Calorie Food
Just a list of my favoriteĀ Low calorie foods and a little bit why.
Eggs (78 cals per large): Packed with protein and you can just eat the white and you can toss the yolk and just eat the white for a whopping 17 cals. I like them because you can eat them warm, or toss them with some veggies to make a very filling omelet with it feeling heavy in your stomach. It can also be eaten for any meal without it looking weird, and if you hard boil the egg they can also be very portable.
Romaine Lettuce (8 cals per cup): If you chop up the lettuce and add salt, it makes for a really nice salty, low cal food that you can munch on for hours without packing on the calories. Iām one of those people love to mindlessly eat, and eatin romaine can help me do that without going over my calorie limit.
Plain Rice Cakes (40 cals): Iāll be honest, these are extremly bland. But, theyāre perfect for adding things like sirracha (5 cals perserving), Mustard (0 cals), or kraft parmassian cheese (20 cals per tablespoon). You can also just add seasoning to them. Also, never get pre flavored rice cakes, as you can most likely put on your own flavors for less calories. You could even melt a square of dark chocolate and drizzle it on.
Bocca Burgers (70 cals): These are also mostly protein, vegan, and so tasty. I could eat these every day and be happy. Theyre a fake burger, so you could eat them as such or chop them up and add to a salad or stif fry. With a fake meat you can basically do anything with them. AND A PLUS its a great way to get parents/friends off your back aboutĀ ānot getting enough proteinā. Thats something my parents do alot.
Broth (10 cals per cup): Super filling and warming, perfect subsitute for thick, creamy, fatty soups. My favorite is to just add green onions to the soups (5 cals per one) but im sure thats not everyones cup of tea. You can also get brooth cubes, so they are very portable if you can boil water.
