I donât like BeyoncĂ©.
Thatâs something you rarely hear these days. Everyone seems to be obsessed with âQueen Beyâ but not me. Sure, sheâs a great singer, she seems like a generally nice person (as nice as any celebrity is) and sheâs not out of control with all her fame but I just donât like her, as a whole.
Let me start off by saying, BeyoncĂ© IS a great singer and Iâm not trying to say, in any way shape or form that she isnât. Sheâs got a great talent that lots of people would love to have! Do I think she executes her talents to their best potential every song she makes? No.
I grew up listening to Destinyâs Child and all other girl bands I the early 2000âs. DC was actually one of my favourite. They have catchy, upbeat songs and the girls in the band didnât seem to take themselves too seriously. They always had this light heartedness to their videos which made them so relatable and likeable. Naturally, when B, went out on her own we were all so proud because she was literally everyoneâs favourite (youâd be kidding yourself if you said no). As expected, she did amazing!! And with her rumoured new arm candy, Jay-Z, she was the hottest thing!
The hits kept coming and each one better than the last. She was a woman on fire! She gained more game than she ever thought possible (or so I imagine). I loved her and everything she stood for until she started to take herself too seriously. Until she started to realize âhey, everyone loves me and I do make amazing songs. Iâm a bad ass bitch and I can act like one and people will love me even moreâ. (Again, this is all just my own thoughts not actual thought from BeyoncĂ©.)
Her and Jay-Z started acting more like they DESERVED special attention not just got it. They acted like royalty and everyone seemed to buy into this and feed their egos even more. When she released the song âDrunk in Loveâ I knew I was finished being a BeyoncĂ© fan. Her music had become something of her social status and not of her amazing talent. Anyone can string some rhyming words together and half sing half rap them. Donât get me wrong, the singing she does do in that song is still greater than most artists but thatâs not the same artist I fell in love with so many years ago. Thereâs a difference in being confident and arrogant. In being a strong role model and being a dubbed âQueenâ. For these reasons, about her singing only, I started to fall out of love with BeyoncĂ©.
Okay, before we go any further I have to admit a HUGE piece of information, that too most, will make you stop reading this article immediatelyâŠ. Iâm a Kardashian super fan. I donât know, it just something that happened after watching every single episode of their show(s) back to back for weeks straight but yes, I am a Kardashian fan. How does one not like BeyoncĂ©, someone so full of talent, like the âdonât know why theyâre famous Kardashianâsâ? One reason; because they worked hard to stay in the spotlight and didnât EXPECT things to come easy. They pushed for every career opportunity, every social appearance, every magazine cover, everything they ever got, they pushed. Iâm not saying BeyoncĂ© didnât, Iâm just saying that to me, and just my opinion, she seemed to stop HAVING to push. We just automatically went crazy over everything she did making it magnificent! Do I think the Kardashianâs are floating on a cloud 9 high? Oh my goodness yes, one of these days their no talent is going to run out and theyâll have nothing to fall back on (or maybe theyâll be lucky and it wonât) but they probably wonât always be that famous. BeyoncĂ© has her voice to always fall back on and remind us why sheâs famous. But what in ultimately trying to say is, that just because sheâs an AMAZING singer doesnât give her the right to act like sheâs the queen of the world. Sure, we let her think that by giving her nick names and going absolutely crazy over her work but in all honesty, what gives her the right to act like sheâs so much higher or mightier than any other celebrity. I know itâs rumoured that sheâs âa divaâ when it comes to who she hangs out with. And I get it, thereâs people you just donât like. Iâm just an ordinary person and I get that. But just stop and think for a second, yes, even the ones who are scanning this so fast to just write something nasty in a comment on the bottom, why are you giving this woman the right to let her act like sheâs a queen? Why her? Why not Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry , Adele, Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaji? These ladies also have amazing pipes but do they act like queens to the extent of BeyoncĂ©? Iâm not trying to call down BeyoncĂ© as a human being, Iâm sure sheâs a beautiful person. Iâm just trying to get the vast majority of people who treat her like a queen to stop and realize that any star or celebrity would be nothing without us. Without our support. It just seems to me that B could handle her diva ways a little less divalike and act more normal because without our support, sheâd have no one to be a diva to. By me saying I donât like BeyoncĂ©, Iâll probably get more hate comments than nice ones. Because they stick up for their queen. In all honesty, do you think sheâs stick up for you? I think she probably couldnât be bothered by what one person said about her as long as she still has her millions of fans and gets her pay check, sheâs happy. No, Iâm not looking for attention from the Queen B herself, if I was I would just act like any other fan. This is just some random person sick of scrolling through her newsfeed and seeing BeyoncĂ© portrayed as God and her basically excepting it. Sheâs a person like you and me with an amazing voice. Thatâs all. Nothing more. She deserves her amazing career but being humble gets you farther than arrogance sometimes. And that is why, in a article that was written in 30 minutes without being prof read was published on the web.
