There are a few things I don't like about the Percy Jackson fandom and this is one of them; some people have the most egregious shit to say and act like it's apart of the canon.
Just because some things may be forgotten by Rick doesn't mean we gotta forget too. The same with mischaracterization and bad headcanons. The last part is just a pet peeve I have, at least make a headcanon that suits the character.
It might be because I despise anything with sexual assault but goodness gracious, Gabe didn't sexually abuse Percy. Is it not said that he just beat him up? What is with people and wanting their favorite character to deal with sexual abuse? I hate the guy but he didn't do all that😬. With Sally, who knows but she did marry Gabe to protect Percy so I wouldn't be too surprised if that was true but there isn't anything about that either. It's just physical and financial abuse, nothing else I hope. Percy's life is hell enough as it is, we don't have to add to that.
