IT WAS ON FIRE WHEN WE GOT HERE Just got back from Lakes Of Fire 2012. I know this is not the first year this event happens (I believe this was their 6th year), however I was still impressed with an organizational skills and how well organized it was. Of course community’s contribution and dedication cannot be left behind. Fuck NO it can’t be left behind!

To me some of the fine art installations seemed to lack fresh ideas (El Diablo Zen Garden was a copy of Flaming Zen Garden in Burning Man 1996), did not last too long (The Giant Tetherball seemed to be broken Friday night already- back-up plan/ parts is a MUST when you give rubber ball to drunk/drugged people), or didn't make much of the sense Stilleta (WHAAAT?). Seriously, with better preparation and more polished thoughts money from Art Grants Program could have done better…
